"Great job, extremely thorough. The serviceman also showed us our chimney on the video camera used to inspect the chimney. He also took the time to educate us on how to maintain and prevent future problems. Excellent!"

"We had had a raccoon in our chimney. They came, swept and cleaned the chimney, ensured there was no raccoon and placed chimney caps. The job was done thoroughly and they took the time to explain clearly what they were doing and finding. The job was done within the amount quoted. I highly recommend them."

"Gael did an awesome job. If we ever need anything done to our chimneys ever again we would hire them. They totally redid one of our chimneys including the upper concrete on top of the chimney. They arrived on time, were very courteous, cleaned up after doing the work and were totally THE BEST!!! Thank you!!"

"We had a crumbling chimney that definitely needed help. We called envision fire and they were very eager to help. They came out gave us an estimate and fixed the top bricks and crown on our chimney. They were very knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend them to anyone."

"CHAPTER 2:  Then, in August, I noticed a faint whiff of gas near the furnace.  AirTech found a small leak and replaced a coupling.  I noticed it again and we called them back.  They fixed another small leak.  Okay.
CHAPTER 3:  Then in November, our furnace wasn't working.  Called AirTech.  After a couple visits, they determined that they hadn't really addressed the existing chimney suitability for the new furnace (it was February and very bad weather).  The chimney was allowed acorns to fall into it, blocking some vent.  They fixed the chimney issue.
AirTech has been very responsive when we called about these issues.  On the other hand, both of our issues should have been addressed during the initial installation.  But we are very happy with our new furnace.

"Our insurance company informed us that we would need to replace our roof but it was not covered by our policy.  We thought we had hail damage but it was actually damage due to a defective installation (by a well known Mpls roofing company)  from a previous roof replacement.  We searched Angie's List and had several estimates.  Ben, Greene Construction's sales rep was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful in telling us about all of our option on venting, shingles, etc. He did a thorough inspection  and measurement of our roof and went over the cost of everything.  He also went over exactly what the work would consist of, delivery of materials, dumpster, approximate start date, and any other incidental information.   The price quoted was very fair and reasonable.  Our insurance company had given us a deadline for the roof to be repaired and completed.  Damian Greene came out an double checked the measurements and gave us a start date.  The date was within 3 weeks of signing the contact.  The roofing crew was very courteous and considerate.  If we had questions they were quickly answered.  After the installation was complete they did a very thorough cleanup.  Our property looked as neat and clean as it did before they started their work.  The roof was completed on April 28th and and the crew did an excellent job.  Damian came to the house to give us a completion certificate and went over everything with us and sign the final papers.  We also talked with him about future projects we were thinking about.   We were very impressed with the quality of the work and knowledge and  friendliness of both Ben and Damian.  We would gladly hire Greene Construction to work on our house in the future.

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

A range hood is an exhaust fan for your kitchen, and several types and styles exist. They are meant to remove grease, moisture, and fumes from your stove. Although some models filter and recirculate the air, the most effective ones remove the air through a duct that’s vented to the outdoors.

Neglected maintenance can lead to odors, fire hazards, impaired airflow, and reduced range and hood operation efficiency.

Yes, professionals can often retrofit models with minimal disruption.

Yes, they can assess the size, kitchen layout, and ventilation requirements to make recommendations.

Most residential range hoods have a CFM between 200 and 600. A higher CFM means your range hood is better at removing smoke and odors from your kitchen. The measurement ultimately depends on your stove’s width and heat output as well as the size of your kitchen.

Compared to the average size of a stove and kitchen, 350 CFM would be the minimum recommended rating for the average kitchen. However, selecting a higher CFM range hood would guarantee better ventilation to match your cooking habits, whether they’re minimal or extensive.
