"Chris and Mike did an excellent job! Our sidewalk was sinking 2-3 inches in spots. They explained exactly how the process works. Started the job on time and was very professional. I'm impressed with how well it turned out. Our sidewalk is now level. Thank you!"

"The service was for Radon Mitigation in our home that had higher than acceptable Radon levels. The work was professionally done, and care was taken to protect carpeting etc during their work. The crew updated us home owners as they did their work and asked permissions for needed modifications to the house. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for quality workmanship, congenial communication and moderate pricing."

"Water proofing very good results. BUT Caution regarding floor repair from ANY contractor. Make sure you discuss what the floor repair will look like. Mine is not level, and Much rougher Than original floor. Another contractor said it was better than He typically sees. This was done several years ago. Sorry about the late review."

Small jobs welcome

"Very professional. Stayed well within their estimate. Explained everything in detail so I could make informed decisions. Provided add-on work as needed within their cost estimates. Exceptionally courteous. Cleaned up work area after the job was finished! Leveled the concrete garage slab to within 1/8â from a deviation of 2.5.â Would definitely recommend. Would definitely re-hire for additional jobs if needed!"

"Josh Gilley quoted the job initially and stayed in constant contact with me until the service was complete. He explained the entire process, walked me through his plan, the process, the timeline and even walked me through financing options. He also stayed in contact to help ensure scheduling and logistics were handled (even through the holidays!) and was available for more questions while the service was being completed. It felt like concierge-level service, and every interaction with employees far exceeded all of my expectations. Iâ d never dealt with foundation issues before as a homeowner, and I had so many concerns about cost, logistics, and just fear of the unknown. Josh was an incredible resource and frankly a champion of the company and I knew weâ d made the right choice from start to finish. Our 80 year old home feels safe and restored now, and Iâ m so grateful to know our time and money was well spent."

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

Mudjacking is suitable for sidewalks, driveways, patios, and nearly all exterior flat structures. However, it may not suit severely damaged or heavily cracked areas.

Mudjacking typically takes 24 to 72 hours (one to three days) to dry and cure completely before you can resume normal use. The total drying time can vary depending on the size of the project. Because the slurry mixture contains cement, it needs to harden fully to prevent the concrete slab from shifting under added weight. You should avoid walking on the concrete or placing heavy items like furniture or vehicles on the surface until it has fully set. Your concrete contractor can provide a precise timeline. As a point of comparison, if you opt for polyjacking, the polyurethane foam can dry in minutes, but it's recommended to wait about an hour before use.

There is no real alternative to underpinning, although mudjacking and polyjacking are other repair methods that can add support from underneath your foundation. Rather than placing supportive piers under your structure, these involve pumping a material under your slab to lift a sunken section back into its original position. Polyjacking, in particular, is sometimes a suitable solution for stabilization issues under slab foundations, but underpinning is often accepted as the best and most permanent solution.

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.

Pros often use mudjacking or polyurethane foam injection to level a sunken concrete patio. Both methods lift the slab by filling voids beneath it. After properly compacting the soil beneath it to prevent future settling, the concrete may need to be removed and re-poured for severe sinking.
