"Cherry Hill was fantastic. They landscaped the front of our house, added a couple of plants around our deck and planted some hedges and two trees in our back yard. The were extremely courteous, professional and friendly. After the project was complete they followed up by text and by phone to make sure we were satisfied with the work. Whether or not it’s easier to cut wood when it’s wet versus dry depends largely on the type of tool you use and the wood you’re cutting. For example, a chain saw should still be able to cut through wet wood with relative ease, but it may be more difficult to maneuver due to the wood fibers sticking to the chains of the saw.

Joists do distribute their load to beams, but they don’t sit on top of the beams. Instead, home builders nail or screw the joists directly to the beams such that the end of the joist butts up against the edge of the beam. Beams can sit on other beams for support, but you’ll never see a joist sitting on top of a beam or another joist.
