This is the second time we have used Dan. He built us a gym, with a sauna install. We hired him back. He is without a doubt the most reasonable and quality I have ever worked with. He does not try to talk you into things, he actually talks you out to make sure he keeps you on budget. We got everything we wanted, and he built us a bar as well. He allowed us to do a few things to save on cost. He is kind, funny, direct, but open to what you want to do. He wants you to be happy with the end product. His subs are all vetted by him and they were all top notch. My only issue, was the delays with subs, but it is 2022 and we all need patience.

Never got the work done. I called Dan and we spoke. I took pictures of all the railing and e-mailed it to him. I called a week later and he confirmed he got it and would give me an estimate. I e-mailed and called again and never heard from him. Disappointing and waste of my time.

Dan did a great job on our remodel. He was great to work with, detail oriented and very tidy. Will use him again if the need arises.

Dan was amazing. He was knowledgeable and thorough, making suggestions and adjustments I hadn't considered. When our timeline for the project moved up unexpectedly, he made time for us and got everything done and done well. I highly recommend him and will contact him again for any carpentry work I have.

Unfortunately, we never received an estimate. He showed up promptly on April 25 and took a look at the work to be done (railing and stairs). He gave us some good ideas and said we should receive an estimate the following week. As of May 17 we still have not received anything and we are not sure what happened

Dan was amazing. He is personable, kind, intelligent and has great ideas and know his craft. We had others bid and he had ideas, no one else had. He knows his subs and they respect him. He took extra time to show my wife how to learn things too. I am very particular and he was attentive to all our requests. We are exceptionally pleased with how our room turned out and as the process went, we created ideas with Dan for our next project, once some more money is saved for phase two of the basement. Thank you for great work.

Dan did a great job. He was courteous, timely and professional. The island looks great and ready for the new granite slab.

I don't think I could have found a more professional and knowledgeable person on the subject of home improvement. Dan stopped by for an initial assessment of the project, took measurements and recommended Scherer brothers lumber yard over the home improvement stores (I.e. Home Depot, menards, etc) which saved us $500 on our custom door. He removed the old door, installed the new one and storm door in 5 hours. When he finished, he walked through recommended maintenance of the door and certain finishing tips. My one criticism would be a need for a written quote prior to work (since there was a question about the original quote). However, this was not a major issue.

It went well.  We had chosen ironwood for its long lasting quality versus cedar.  Other contractors wouldn't even give a bid when told of the wood we had chosen.

The details are in the previous section, since no work was performed. Dan made the trip to the site at no charge, provided alternatives and offered to come back out if we elect to buy all new locks or select a solution where we needed someone to do the work for us.  

We have used Old Pro Carpentry before and we are very happy with their work and expertise.

The install was well done, performed in a timely manner. The end result was what we expected. Dan explained some of the features that were different than the old door, gave some tips on care and maintenance. He was nice enough to answer some quick questions we had about some ceiling repair we wanted to do ourselves. The work site was left as before he came out to do the install.

We had a rental property that was broken into.  We called Dan and his initial concern was whether or not the house could be secured before he got out there.  This was a very thoughtful in my opinion!  :-)

Dan got to the property as soon as he could and we discussed the best way to fix the damaged door and locking mechanism.  Once we all agreed to the best way to handle the situation, Dan proceeded to complete this project.

My husband and I also had Dan repair another door in the house that had been damaged.  This repair took more woodworking skill and time and he did a great job.

We would definitely hire Dan and his company to perform more repairs on our home.  Very positive experience.

He came out to my house twice.  The first time to look at the floors. 
He gave good recommendations of types and options of floor coverings. 
He ended up being too busy to install the wood laminate I decided upon. 
The second time he came out was to give a quote on a deck replacement. 
I contacted him a few times, but never did get a quote.  However, he
seemed like a nice guy.. perhaps just really busy.?  I would still
consider using him in the future.

I called Dan from Old Pro Carpentry to get a bid on an installation of a sliding glass patio door.  I was in a time crunch due to other projects that were going on when I discovered the patio door needed to be replaced, and needed to be done before I could go on with the other projects. 
I told Dan the absolute last date of installation I was willing to have and he told me he would make sure that date was met, even if that meant he would come in on a Sunday to finish it.  The job was a small one, and I knew he was busy, but he still made the time to get the project done. 
A couple hiccups along the way---the door that was ordered opened the wrong way, and I wanted to make sure it was switched.  Dan was prompt at fixing the error by offering to reorder the door or figure out a way to get a hold of the manufacturer to see if there was a way to switch the way the doors opened.  He made sure the error was fixed promptly and was done in time so I could get my other projects finished, at no extra cost to me. 
Another hiccup---a small scratch on the exterior door.  Barely noticeable and not sure if it was the lumber yards fault or if it was scratched during installation.  Once the screen door was installed, it hid the scratch/scuff.  Not an issue. 
I recommend Dan---In fact we never drew up a contract---business was done on a handshake agreement and he held up his end of his deal.

Contact Dan to have him quote the addition that we're looking to do. Once again his quote came in at a very reasonable price and reasonable time frame as well. Hired him for the job. Through out the project, he kept us well inform of what is going on and trying to stay under our budget. The addition turned out great. Our family, neighbors and even the city inspector gave great compliments.

I had hired Dan for my restaurant's renovation several years back. He did not disappoint me then and he's definitely did not disappoint me now. Love his work! Already recommended Dan to a couple of interested neighbors.

This was a very unique project for a pediatric therapy clinic. We needed indoor swings, monkey bars, slide and a play are. Dan was very helpful and patient in coming up with design ideas and always keeping the safety of our clients in the forefront of his designs. His service and craftsmanship were superior. He was very flexible in working around our schedule to make it work for us. His prices were reasonable and he was very pleasant to work with.

We spoke with Dan in late March of this year and met within the week to discuss what we were looking to have completed in our basement.
We had a very strict budget that we wanted to keep to and Dan was honest and upfront about what his pricing was.
There were no hidden costs and Dan seemed to have no problem with letting us know immediately if something was going to cost more than anticipated.
When we signed on with Dan he told us that the project would start within 3 weeks and he was true to his word.
There were a few things we (homeowners) changed along the way and everything went smooth.
The electrician, plumber fireplace & cabinetry companies were all professional and came and went about their business and completed the work in a timely manner.
If we ever had questions or concerns Dan was fairly quick to call us back and his communication was direct and to the point and that was exactly what we were looking for in a builder.
From the beginning Dan and his crew kept things as tidy as can possibly be in the middle of a construction project.  The dust from sheet rock and taping was expected and that was the only concern I had as I have horrible allergies.  
All in all, we are extremely pleased with the job that was completed by Dan and would hire him again without any hesitation.
Our basement was completed within the time frame that we had agreed on and the only reason we went over budget by a few hundred dollars was due to our decisions to change some things along the way.

Dan is an outstanding professional to work with.We were completing our basement and one of the carpenter we hired left us in the middle and disappeared.. Dan stepped in and helped us complete the project. One of the biggest pieces of the project was completion of a dedicated Home theater room. This room has raised seating, with 6 column's , 7" basebaords, chair rails and crown around the room. Dan took my initial ideas refined it and came up with a finished product that I am extremely pleased with.
Dan knows his stuff and has a keen eye for the details. He told me things that would work and those that won't and we changed the layout quite a few times based on his input. I would hire Dan again in a heartbeat and actually Dan has been back doing other things in the house after the completion of my basement project.

Dan was very professional and the door was installed properly. I purchased the door for my rental property and left it at the house. Dan quoted me an install price, installed the door and it looked and worked great when I came to check out the job. Everything was cleaned up and ready by the time I arrived. He had to cut out the opening a bit as well, requiring extra work on his part but still charged exactly the price he quoted. I would definitely call Dan again to do any future work.

Great work.  He takes a lot of pride in his work and was able to transform our mint green, water stained screen porch into our favorite room in the house.  Very good at translating our vision to reality, extremely fair and honest about pricing and recommendations for materials and options, wonderful at the follow up after if we had any questions.  Would definitely recommend!

He was unprofessional., made no attempt to clean up, daily or after the project was complete , messed up the holes he drilled in cabinet drawers, didn't fill a single nail hole.  other mess ups too.  Wouldn't do a single extra thing.  I'm 63 and had 6 sheets of plywood to carry up 3 floors, he wouldn't help.
