37 years of experience

A design-build company established in 1988. We focus on remodeling and renovation work, from small projects such as a counter replacement to whole-house renovations. In 2008 we started to branch in to the light commercial remodeling, with a focus on small business, restaurant, and small to medium retail. Our experience allows us to pick the right sub-contractor for the task -if we need to. Otherwise, we are hands-on operation. Billing procedures vary. Small jobs are invoiced promptly and due on receipt. Larger projects typically have a payment plan set up and usually include a deposit and progress payments.

"Matt is the most amazing contractor ever. Not only is he knowledgeable about roofs, siding and gutters, but he is also an amazing craftsman. He has done our roof, 8 of our neighbors roofs, and two of our rental properties. All of these properties were complicated and involved working closely with insurance adjusters to ensure the homeowners were treated fairly during the insurance inspection process. He also installed windows in one of our properties that helped reduce energy bills and increased value in the home--while being fast, clean and meticulous. Hire him. He's amazing!"

Garages questions, answered by experts

If you plan to only use it occasionally, a DIY fabric screen offers a low-cost option that is simple to put up and take down as needed. It also provides a way to test out how you could continue using the extra space in the future. But if you plan to frequently spend time in the space, investing in a customized, professionally installed garage door screen offers the potential for this unlikely space to become a brand new hub for your household.

You should be able to paint most of your garage door with a small roller, but there will likely be details and nooks and crannies that are best handled with the help of a detail brush. After you have painted most of your garage door, make sure to take a step back to review your work—if you have a friend or family member nearby to offer another set of eyes, great!)—and clean up any missed spots with a brush.

While it depends on door condition, the painter’s level of expertise, and weather conditions, it’s safe to set aside two to three days to complete this project, especially if you anticipate adding multiple coats of paint, which can take eight to 12 hours to dry. Your professional should be able to provide an estimate for the project timeline.

A garage only counts toward the official square footage of a house if it’s livable. The exact legal requirements for what’s considered living space can vary by location, but heating and ventilation are often required for it to be counted. If the garage is converted into an extra room, it may count toward the total square footage.

Start by assessing your needs, setting a realistic budget, creating design plans, and selecting materials. Consulting professionals for advice can streamline the process.
