"They originally put on the screen on my porch. Some of the boards they reattached fell off almost immediately. One board was not attached at all. More recently, our dog passed and I asked if they would come out and fix the screen on that door and reattach some boards that are off. Their response was that they would notify me the next time they are "in the area". Really? Been a few weeks, nothing."

"My Midwest Roofing Review I held off from writing a review for almost two years. I really wanted to give these guys a chance at redemption, but it was futile. I first worked with Greg who said he tried to get me the most out of my insurance company payout for a new roof which I do appreciate. Unfortunately, things from there quickly went downhill. The first thing to go wrong was them scheduling a time to do our roof without running it past us first. We had to call them to change the date but they didn’t let the crew know. So the crew with all their equipment and workers show up at the crack of dawn on a Monday morning and we have to explain to them that we had changed the time (even though we never scheduled it in the first place). Then a few months after our new roof was installed, I get a threatening letter from Jorian saying they were going to put a lien on our house because they didn’t receive payment. This is after not hearing a peep from them for months. So I told them I was approved for the roof loan months ago. He did find it later but I received no apology. The checks we got from the insurance company were late because we didn’t realize they were sent to us. I thought they were sent directly to the company (my bad). But like I said..I didn’t hear a word from them until we were suddenly threatened with a lien. I re-requested the checks from my insurance company and sent them to Midwest right away. Then all five of our new skylights started to leak. TWICE. They had someone come out and “fix” them but they still leaked so we had to have them out yet again. I have video footage of it in case we take this to an attorney. We’re waiting to see if they start leaking for a third time [eye roll]. So with 5 terrified cats 3 roofing appointments was a huge hassle. We now have water damage on our ceiling that needs to be fixed. Again never got an apology. So a few more months go by and I contact Greg to have someone come out and fix the damage from a separate incident (not Midwest’s fault). I get a friendly reply back saying he’ll have someone contact me. Didn’t hear anything for over a week so I text him back and I get, “who’s this?” with a very cold reply after I reminded him saying someone will contact me. I guess that was the final straw. I told him to forget it. Finally got angry enough to write this. This has got to be one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a company. Every person I talked to was rude or indifferent. Still pretty annoyed about it, tbh."

"Received bids from four contractors. Topside and one other came in within a few dollars of one another and about 10% to 15% less than the other two bids. I ultimately went with Topside because I liked the feeling of having a constant point of contact with a smaller company vs. project getting handed from sales to scheduling to production departments at a larger company. Andrew came out to make the measurements for the bid, coordinated supply drop-off, and was on site the day-of to check in on the progress. Rob (the owner) stopped by that evening to inspect the completed job. The work was scheduled promptly and completed professionally. Would happily chose them again if we have other exterior work done in the future."
