Standard Water Control Systems is committed to excellence in every aspect of our business. We uphold a standard of integrity bound by fairness, honesty and personal responsibility. Our distinction is the quality of service we bring to our customers. Accurate knowledge of our trade combined with ability is what makes us true professionals. Above all, we are watchful of our customers interests, and make their concerns the basis of our business.

"Before you hire any Water Control company hire a plumber to make sure you really need drain tile. After we hired this company we still had seeping water issues. After they were called twice they finally told us we had a leaking pipe. In addition, an employee stole a cellphone and a FITBIT watch from our home and damaged our egress window. They fixed the egress window. The owner was not very pleasant, made us feel like we were not telling the truth. My husband literally spent hours changing passwords and canceling credit cards since the cellphone contained sensitive information. A few days later through Google find my device we pinned the cellphone at this business location, we called the police and had to take time away from our work to retrieve our phone. We never retreived our FITBIT watch. It was a nightmare! The company apologized but the damage was done!! The job itself was OK.. Apologies are not good enough after the hell we went through!! Watch who enters your property!! "

Unlimited Masonry, LLC we are a professional family owned and operated Masonry contractor offering five star service. We specialize in Brick and Stone Restoration, We also specialize in Tuckpointing/chimney repair/step repair/and Block repair. Call today for a free estimate!

"Some of the work performed by Unlimited Masonry was not satisfactory and when the work was completed. This was communicated to the owner, Sam. He told us to allow it to dry and if it still wasn't what was expected, they would return and perform the required repairs. Based on his word and handshake, I paid for the work in its entirety ($3170). After a couple of weeks, I contacted Sam and he agreed to perform the repairs. A repair date was scheduled, but Unlimited Masonry never showed up or called to provide an update. Matter of fact, I haven't heard from Unlimited Masonry, since Sam took payment. I logged a formal complaint with Home Advisor, and they were able to reach Unlimited Masonry, but they refuse to make any repairs AND aren't willing to go to Arbitration and let an independent party, review this dispute. The integrity of a business is its greatest attribute. I feel Unlimited Masonry lacks this because they committed to making repairs, and I now believe their only intent. THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. Also, most reputable businesses would stand behind their work and would have no issue with Arbitration. The fact that Unlimited Masonry refused Arbitration says volumes about them as a business and the owner's character."

Masonry questions, answered by experts

Cobblestone can be made from many different types of stones but the most common ones, by far, are granite, basalt, limestone, and sandstone.  If you are laying a brick paver patio or other such project, the medium is different. It’s rare, but cobblestone can also be made from marble, slate, jasper, and other types of rock. Technically, you can make cobblestone from almost any type of rock, but if it is weather-resistant and stands the test of time is another question entirely.

If you want to make your home eco-friendly, enjoy low maintenance, and love the fact that its looks will take people’s breath away (and not because they were trying to blow your house down), then a modern brick home is right for you. You can hire a mason to get the building process started for your brick home.

But if you’re not fond of the color and don’t want to deal with the process of repointing or other repairs, consider going with vinyl or wood. These materials offer a lower cost. While they tend to require more maintenance, they don’t cost nearly the same as exterior brick house repair.

Unless you’ve worked in the masonry industry before, it is in your best interest if you hire a pro for any masonry needs. Masonry-related jobs require a high skill level and can be extremely time-consuming. If anything goes wrong, a licensed and insured masonry contractor would be able to take care of the subsequent repairs, giving you additional peace of mind.

Unfortunately, there are many disadvantages to stone houses. They are slow to build and the materials are pricey, both of which balloon the total cost. Stone walls require a more robust foundation, which costs more to install. Running plumbing, electrical, and HVAC through a stone house is much more difficult too, so homeowners need to seriously consider if the aesthetic benefit is worth the cost of building with stone. One of the questions to ask a masonry contractor is if a similar aesthetic can be achieved with another material.

No, you shouldn’t lay bricks directly on dirt. While it might seem like a shortcut, it leads to a patio that shifts, sinks, and becomes a maintenance headache. Dirt expands, contracts, and erodes—none of which mix well with long-term stability. To build something that lasts, excavate the topsoil, compact a layer of crushed gravel, and add a coarse sand-setting bed. This layered base gives your bricks proper support, allows drainage, and helps block weeds from creeping through. Cutting corners here just means you’ll spend more time—and money—repairing your brick patio later.
