"I am extremely pleased with the work done by Jude and his company, Beautiful Things Drywall, LLC. His cost estimate for our project came in more than 30% lower than other proposals. He was prompt in arriving to begin the project, and completed it over the span of two days, as promised. His work is top-notch, and he did a good job with clean-up afterwards. A few days later, we asked him to return to skim mud over the air bubbles that appeared after sanding, which he did the same day that we contacted him. "These guys are truly the drywall ninjas! We had a DIY kitchen remodel project we needed completed ASAP to close on a loan, but time was running too close for us to be able do the drywall ourselves. Worse, we needed to be out of town that weekend. I called Noelge at 7 AM on a Friday to see if they were available. By 7:45 AM Dave was at our house for the estimate. He got a crew assembled -- over a holiday weekend, no less -- and the drywall was complete by the time we got home that Monday. We finished the rest of the project ourselves and the loan closed on time. Through the holiday weekend, Noelge stayed in touch with us and kept us up to date on their progress. They were outstanding to work with from start to finish. The next time I have a drywall project, I'm calling Noelge."

"SWL Construction completed the drywall taping and mudding on time and the results look great! The finish they provided to the ceiling also looks great. They kept the dust and grime contained and thoroughly cleaned up after the job. We liked the work so much we asked them to prime and paint for us too. The only real way to know if it needs a replacement is to hire a professional to assess the condition of the plaster.

You should always hang drywall from the top down. Starting at the top makes it easier to create a straight, tight line between the ceiling and the wall. Any gaps that occur will be at the bottom, where they are easier to manage. You can either cut the bottom piece of drywall to fit the remaining space or cover the gap with baseboard trim.
