"I can't really speak to the quality of the work yet - I haven't really noticed a difference. They guys who did the work were perfectly nice. I used this company because they were on the approved list for the insulation rebate. They were the most expensive quote I received, but with the rebate, I made it work. It took a long time to get the work scheduled, I took the day off work when the date came - it was confirmed (twice) then cancelled, day of (for bad weather that was in the forecast). Needless to day I was really upset. When the bill came, I asked for the credit card charges (yes, they do that) to be waived for the cost & inconvenience the cancelled appointment cost me, but was denied."

"It was great working with eRoof. They helped me to understand my policy and get things replaced that my insurance company was not going to do. eRoof took the shingles and tried to match them and could not find a match, which means they had to replace the whole roof. My insurance company was only going to replace sections of it. Thanks eRoof."

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

Applying plaster to a wall will usually cost between $2 and $10 per square foot for both the material and labor. The cost will vary based on the quality of the plaster you’re using and whether or not prep work is required before the work begins. Wall prep can add up to about 10% to your total costs. Plastering exterior walls can be more expensive in many cases because they are taller and require scaffolding and safety equipment.

It’s less costly to drywall a fireplace than shiplapping it since material costs are higher for shiplap. However, if you’re DIYing the project, shiplap is less expensive since you won’t have to pay for labor. With drywall, getting a smooth finish is difficult unless you’re a pro. Shiplap is ideal for an accent wall or unique space, such as around a fireplace, since it adds texture and gives off a cozy vibe.

In many cases, installing new drywall will boost your home value. Replacing old, damaged, cracked, or wavy drywall is a great way to improve the look and feel of your home, as new drywall installed by a professional shouldn’t have any imperfections. Additionally, removing old drywall means you’ll have open walls, so you can install new insulation and address exposed issues with plumbing and electrical systems running behind the walls. All of these fixes will also add to your home’s value.

Whether a drywall anchor can be reused depends on its material, type, and the method of removal. Plastic anchors, including expansion and self-drilling types, are generally designed for single use as they tend to break or deform upon removal. Metal anchors, such as toggle bolts, are more durable and may be reusable if they are not damaged during extraction. However, with toggle bolts, the toggle piece can fall into the wall cavity when the bolt is removed, making it difficult to retrieve. If an anchor is damaged during removal, for instance by having its head cut off, it cannot be reused regardless of the material.

Technically speaking, you can use drywall primer over plasters. However, oil-based primers work the most effectively on wall plasters. Meanwhile, water-based primers work just as well with drywalls. Nowadays, there are also universal primers suitable for drywall and plaster. Overall, you will be fine as long as you are using a trustworthy brand.
