The entire process was super easy from start to finish very professional and excellent response time with questions or potential issues. They came out and suggested to remove the old insulation from the attic (mineral wool, vermiculite with <1% asbestos, fiberglass bats) and spray 2 inches of closed cell foam on top of the sheet rock to make R14 and seal up any other open areas (which were many) with cardboard and spray foam over the top of it. Within minutes of spray foam they blew in cellulose over the top of that at a depth of around 12 inches to give me a total R value of 50 or greater. They also gave me a warranty in case the cellulose were to settle too much and they would come out and top it off to give me enough to make R50 again for up to 5 years. My only complaint was that one of the workers came into the home without notification and surprised my mother who was still in her pajamas which embarrassed her, he came in to use the restroom. Then the worker decided to walk around in areas that were difficult to access and walked over a very expensive rug with his shoes on. Otherwise the overall experience was great. Blower door test prior to sealing the attic was 1720CFM and after sealing with closed cell spray foam the test was ran again and it dropped to 958CFM. I would definitely hire them again!

I noticed my house had wide temperature fluctuations during the winter and summer months, as well as ice dam issues in the winter. I requested multiple bids from insulation companies and Gunner's was the clear winner. They explained to me how much insulation I had, how much I needed, and how much it would cost to install that much insulation. The representative was very knowledgeable about their products, as well as the issues I was having. The bid came with brochures for the different types of materials Gunner used as well. I accepted the bid and the extraction crew arrived on a very cold spring day. They extracted my existing insulation very quick and set expectations for the installation of insulation the next day, which also went swimmingly. After having my insulation put in I noticed an immediate drop in my heating/cooling costs, as well as more even temperatures across the house.

The guys were great very friendly and respectful of our home, we had a really hard time finding some one to help us do that job since it was such a small space but bill gave us a call right away and said he doesn't mind doing the small jobs at all and gave us a very fair price $850 for 286 SQ ft and they sealed all the spaces leaking air. now the house is a nice warm temperature ,the cold spots are gone, and and the heating bill has come down. great job would definitely hire them again in a heart beat.

Three different options for insulating my attic were explained to me and a estimate was emailed to me in a timely manner. The work was done exactly as the quote stated and for a fair price you could tell they take pride in there work.

Justin and his crew did a great job. We now have 48 inches of cellulose in the attic, and all openings sealed. Work was done in conformance with Centerpoint Energy rebate requirements, including a blower test. We received our rebate promptly. Everyone we worked with, Nicole, Justin and helpers, and Dain were knowledgeable, professional, and prompt. Would heartily recommend them, especially because they are familiar with the Energy Audit requirements.

We wanted to be sure let others know how pleased we are with Gunner Insulation and their staff for the work they did on updating our attic insulation in November. Last year we had ice dam problems and water damage. We wanted to address this prior to snows this year. We were in touch with 4 insulation companies for estimates at the end of September. Bottom line Gunner was the best: While Dain wasn't able to come to give us an estimate for a few weeks, his house review was thorough. He pointed out gutter problems we should address (nothing Gunner does - but we appreciate his expertise and followed-up); As well, Dain is very experienced in updating 1.5 story houses in Mpls and he had suggestions for our misc. hour variations; While we knew about Center Point rebate offers, Gunner was sure to mention this before we did (other vendor's did not do this); Gunner's schedule was busy but was lots more flexible that other vendors that were booked until January or later; Gunner's estimate was the most reasonable. The insulation update has been installed and has been successfully tested. The team that worked on our attic were professional and ever so kind and informative as misc. steps were worked on. As well, they were attentive to cover areas they worked on in addition to great clean-up after the work was completed. Throughout our update, Nicole has been great to work with as activities were scheduled and when we had questions. Go with Gunner Insulation!

We had significant ice dams last winter and decided it was long past time to insulate our 1.5 story, tudor style home, one of the hardest roofs to insulate. It is well worth getting multiple bids, as each estimator has a different ideas and approaches to how a house breathes and air circulates. We were impressed by the thoroughness of Dain's review before creating an estimate, and based on ideas from other estimators, we had him back to adjust the estimate. Getting into the floors, boxing in the pipes may have been more complicated than expected, so the work took a bit longer than planned. That was no problem as It was clear that the young men doing the work took pride in the best job possible, being neat and tidy along the way. We are looking forward to reduced heating bills and ice dams!

All staff were extremely friendly, upbeat, and courteous. Very profession. There was an issue due to foam pushing down some recessed can lights, but the crew made sure the issue was corrected. They left the place cleaner than they found it.

Very quick response to phone call, unlike another company. Estimator went up into the roof and told me what was needed, the options and that there were a few other minor problems that they would fix as they did the job. Work crew laid down carpet protection through the house. Went quickly and smoothly, crew were friendly, helpful and mindful of pets. Nice clean-up job as well. Company also took care of the paperwork for the rebate from Xcel.

I hired this company to add blown-in insulation to my attic. I cannot imagine a worse experience. 1) The owner showed up about 30 minutes late to do the estimate for an early morning appt. No call from him; I had to call to find out if he was still coming. 2) The day of the work they were well over an hour late for a 7:30 AM appt. No call from them; I had to call to find out if they were still coming. Claimed they had a truck issue. 3) While adding the insultation they mistakenly pulled the hose out of the attic and blew insulation into the closet (access to the attic) and upper two floors of the house. Most every surface of these two levels got a coating of insulation. 4) When I got home they were trying to vacuum up the mess (had to use my shop-vac since they didn't have one). They got some of the big mess but left the house and a lot of my clothes coated with insulation. 5) They compensated my $500 for the mess. I was left to clean carpet, drapes, furniture, lights and clothes. I do think they were sorry for the mess and tried to "make it right". But I've spent a lot, and I mean a really lot, of time cleaning up the mess they left. It's of course up to you if you want to take a chance with this company.

"First of all, we regret and apologize that this such situation had taken place. 1) Yes, unfortunately we try our best to be very punctual and timely, but some days due to traffic or other circumstances out of our control, we aren't able to be on time, but I can reassure you that we try our best to make all appointmnets on time. 2) Unfortunately, the hose was turned on by the operator in the truck too soon as the installer who was blowing the insulation hadn't given the go ahead by radio as he was making his way in the access, it was turned on and had blown in that contained area. Granite, dust and insualtion was blown in the area, the installers did their best to clean the area the best they could. The homeowner had stated they had cleaned up well. Our company not only gave him a discount of $500 for this mistake as well as offered to have the clothing drycleaned at our expence, and a cleaning company to provide their services, but the customer denied those offers. However, he did accept the $500 discount and stated that's all he would like. A supervisor met with the customer to make sure everything was taken care of and that the customer was satisfied. The customer thanked him and said "mistakes happen, it could happen to any of us". Bottom line is here that one of our installers made a huge mistake and we apologized for it and did all we could to fix the issue. I personally spoke to customer at length and we were all good. I asked customer to use us again if he ever needed service, he told he would. The customer sure seems to have turned a 360 degree stance. The customer also failed to mention that one of my installers found an envolope in the closet with a substaintial amount of cash while cleaning, that was given to his wife. I mention this because we are an honest company and I think this review was somewhat harsh. We never ran from any issue, we dealt with it appropriately. Gunner Insulation Company, LLC"

The experience with Gunner Insulation went very well. I needed a 780 square foot garage attic insulated. I chose blown fiberglass insulation. I received a prompt quote and service within a few days. Nicole was very friendly on the phone and the two folks who arrived for the job were on time and friendly/professional. I would use Gunner's services again.

It went very well. Dain was knowledgeable and had recommendations to improve our attic insulation to prevent ice dams. We had Gunner remove all our existing insulation, seal the attic and then replace with cellulose. We had 3 insulation contractors evaluate and bid the job and decided that Gunner had the best solutions at a reasonable cost. They could get us scheduled within a few weeks. They arrived on time and worked steadily for 2.5 days. I had questions during the process and they were very helpful in explaining the process. The workers were also very conscience of keeping the inside of the house clean.

Happy with the results and professionalism shown by Bill and his crews. Polite, thorough caring workers. Plus, I got an honest assessment of the project from Bill. We decided to have all old bat insulation removed and replaced with blown in. This was in Sept/Oct 2018. I'm a neat-nik and the Gunner crew was more picky than me about clean-up. While our icicles over the winter were greatly reduced, I did have them come back to remove ice dams -- it was a bad winter and snow covered the vents on the peak. I understand that problem. The house was also noticeably warmer and quieter during the winter. Anyway, I would, and did, hire Gunner again.

The Gunner Team provided a phone quote after I provided a detailed description and photos of the job. When they arrived, we found that I would need some additional roof venting (there was none). They stayed consistent with their original quote, even with a little extra work. The Crew sealed, added baffles, two well-placed ridge vents (functional AND out of view) and tons of fiberglass blown-in insulation to give the attic an R-50 value. The Team cleaned up everything nicely. The Work Team was punctual, friendly and seemed to work very efficiently together. The Owner is a knowledgeable and pleasant man, who offers solid value with his Company. Gunner will get referrals from me if friends ever need his services.
