"Everything went well. It took the fellows a little over a half an hour to remove the items from all over the house. They were supposed to come on Aug. 7, but had an issue with a truck. They called to let me know, and we rescheduled for Aug. 8. They arrived right on time."

"Gunner has been doing my lawn mowing for 8 or 10 years. He always comes when he says he will and gets the job done. For the first couple of years he used my mower, but then he graduated to a nice zero turn unit of his own. I rely on him and his company for mowing and snow removal now. Problem solved!"

"Really good experience. I needed to have a large and old Weber propane grill removed from my back deck and disposed of. Junk 86 followed up promptly, gave a reasonable estimate, and we scheduled a time for pick-up. They communicated well and were easy to work with. Recommended."

"David and his team were very thorough with listening to and understanding my needs. We set up a time line and they were very good at having all the list items done on time and above expectations! Very professional! We also have him do snow removal as it works best for me to have a “go to” company that can do it all. His communication skills are exceptional during the long snow falls as in the early months of spring I have to “ok” any work that is done. I would recommend Weyer’s Services to anyone looking for a quality professional!"

"I am very happy with this company. I definitely recommend them. I found them in March 2021 when researching lawn care companies for my home in Minneapolis. I saw right away that they were a verified business with Google, which to me further increased my trust. Unlike other companies, I consistently get through when I call them vs. being sent to an answering service. Additionally, they have been in the lawn service industry for years. The team genuinely is seeking to do good work, and they are nice people. Mike is a manager for the company, and I had the pleasure of meeting him when an onsite assessment occurred. As a first time homebuyer, I was clueless on what goes into lawn care. Mike explained to me the different service options and showed me how his company differentiates itself. Some lawn companies will simply send random people each week for cuttings; this company focuses on a standard team throughout your service. Each neighborhood will have a specialist leader; in my case it is Daniel. Daniel is very friendly and nice as well. The team does professional work. There is a difference one can notice in my lawn. They usually send more than one person to my property, which reduces the time they are present while still doing excellent work. When the team comes, they pay attention to detail, creating a clean look, and do not take shortcuts. There is a service I also recommend called "spring cleanup" and "fall cleanup" My spring cleanup included cutting of shrubs and leaf cleanup. The price is very fair, and in some cases it was lower than competitors. I am glad I selected this company, and I am a satisfied customer."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

Lead toxicity comes from inhaling lead or consuming it. Before the 1980s, when the government banned lead from consumer use, it could be found in paint, plumbing, pipes, ceramics, and even gasoline. Lead paint is toxic for the same reason lead itself is toxic, which is why lead poisoning from paint presents the same as lead poisoning from water or food sources, with a slight increase in respiratory symptoms vs. digestive symptoms. Lead paint is most dangerous when it’s old and peeling, cracking, or otherwise disturbed. This increases the concentration in the air and, therefore, in breathable air.

You may see specialty products for sale to remove lead dust, such as D-Lead surface wipes. But you do not need to buy a special cleaner just for lead dust. A regular all-purpose cleaner, like 409 or something similar, is sufficient for cleanup. Just make sure to follow the manufacturer's directions when using it and to dilute with water.

If your roof was constructed between 1930 and 1970, there’s a possibility that the shingles contain asbestos. If that’s the case, you should hire a professional for repairs and replacement, as they’ll have the necessary equipment to stay safe from such a hazardous and cancer-causing substance. If your home was constructed after this period, it’s unlikely that the shingles in place are toxic. In most cases, asbestos shingles are not recyclable, while standard asphalt shingles are recyclable.

No. Standard homeowners insurance does not cover any kind of lead remediation, focusing instead on sudden, unpreventable events like fires and theft. Many insurance companies will specifically exclude lead paint removal, since it tends to be an expensive and unavoidable project. The exception is if the lead surface is damaged during a covered event (like a flood) and homeowners insurance pays its replacement.

Government regulations such as the EPA and OSHA govern lead removal procedures to ensure health and environmental safety during and after abatement.
