STRONG & SONS TOTAL TREE SERVICE

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED... We have used Strong & Sons a couple times for tree removal. They are the best around, best prices, nice guys. We had 4 trees removed, great stump grinding, cleanup etc. There was lots of tree debris in the yard... when they left it was cleaned up so awesome that we could not even tell we had any trees removed.

We've used Strong and Sons on several projects over the past 3 years on our Andover property. We just completed having them remove a large Maple tree that was beginning to get a bit too over reaching our house. Strong and Sons cut down the tree, ground down the stump and root system to below grade, removed all materials, and left our yard clean and undamaged. Once again we remember why we always rely on them to get the job done. Professional, honest, hard working, and trustworthy. They work with pride and have never failed to impress with their "over and above" work ethic. Modern equipment with old school integrity!

We have used Strong and Sons Tree Service several times over the past 10 years. They always do excellent work. Sean is very respectful and makes sure the work is done safely. The yard is always cleaned up thoroughly after the job is completed. He also replaces any holes with black dirt. Our last tree removed had a nest of baby squirrels and Sean took them to the Raptor Center. His kindness was very much appreciated. We highly recommend using Strong and Sons Tree Service.

There are no details, they did what they were supposed to do. Quick and efficient, I thought the price was good. I have used this tree service at least 4 times over the years (10 years).

We recieved quotes from several tree services.  We chose Strong & Sons because they had the experience and equipment to do the work safely and efficiently with minimal damage to the yard.  The company was recommended to us by our arborist and was given a high rating on Angie's List.  They matched the quote of another well recommended company.  
 
On January 7, 2013, Sean Strong and his assistant arrived early in the morning. There was about 1 foot of snow on the ground.  They had made necessary prior arrangements to have a cable removed by the power company.  They maneuvered their portable track mounted aerial lift through our 4 foot gate into the back yard. Sean did all the sawing from the bucket of the aerial lift with the exception of the final cut at the base of the tree.  Limbs were removed individually and piled in such a way as to facilitate later cleanup and handling by our family.  The work took about 4 hours.
On May 2, 2013, Sean and his assistant returned to grind the stump.  He went down 6" below grade.  We took care of the grindings ourselves as agreed. 
We were well satisified with the work and professionalism of Strong and Sons.  Sean was genuinely interested in doing the job how and when we wanted it done.  We would hire him again and recommend him to others.

We weren't in a hurry when we called for the quote, but they came right away anyway. We agreed they could come to do the work anytime in the following week. They showed up a couple days later early in the morning. The two trees had to be taken down a limb at a time due to their location, but both were all down and cut up and everything chipped up and gone by early afternoon. I couldn't believe it! They were very picky about cleaning up everything and made sure we were happy with how everything looked when they were done.

He told me he would arrive in the morning to give me an estimate. He arrived at 5:00 pm and he hadn't called me so I had to stay at home the whole day waiting for him. He gave me a bid. He did not come out when scheduled. I left town. He did the work while I was gone. The limb removal was done well and the clean-up was fine. He left me a message on my voice mail that his bid was too low and that I should pay him $225 (as I recall) rather than the $150 that he bid. I paid him the $150 and wrote him a note reviewing his shortcomings. He wrote me a less than courteous reply.  I will not do business with him in the future.

Seth did an amazing job. He was on time for the estimate and the job. He communicated well over the whole thing. He was $400 cheaper than the first place. They did a great job with the trees and cleaned everything up. No reason not to go with these guys. Highly recommend them.

Sean and his crew are so meticulous in their work. Plus they are really safety conscious.
We have a heavily wooded lot. We had accumulated several really big piles of tree branches and limbs from several years worth of storm damage. We knew Strong and Sons from prior work for us trimming and cutting down  trees and we knew they have a BIG chipper/shredder. But, we weren't sure they would be interested in just removing our piles of dead tree parts. When we called, Sean said "no problem" and came out the same day to give us an estimate.  He and his crew showed up on time on the agreed date and deployed this machine they used to travel around the property and pick up bundles of branches and bring them back to their big shredder, which deposits the mulch into their truck. In almost no time they had picked up everything down to the teeniest stick , shredded it all up and hauled it all away.   

He is amazing, just fabulous. He is so careful, neat, and concerned with safety. I was satisfied with the service.

Excellent. I had a few other people come out and give estimates. I decided to look into this service. They came out and gave an estimate, then did the work. I added more work than what was originally estimated. Some of the things were charged and others were not. It was well worth it. The work done was excellent, hard workers. The work they did on the trees and getting rid of all the cuttings and everything else, and cleaning up the yard and getting the sawdust off the roof was done well.

When we called for the estimate, Sean came the same day, at the time agreed. He said he could do the work within the week and would call two days previous to the day he could do the work. We were fine with that since the weather has been so variable. He checked in with us several times during a very rainy week and we finally agreed that he would come on Sunday. Yes, Sunday! Sean arrived at 9 am with his machinery including bucket hoist and chipper, and had the 100 foot tree down and all the limbs from the other trees off and completely gone from our yard by 2pm. All the debris was picked up. Our stone patio and irrigation system are fine due to Sean's care in placing the heavy equipment. The price was exactly as bid. Sean and his helper were completely professional throughout the experience.

THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I HAVE USED THIS FIRM FOR TREE TRIMMING AND REMOVAL. HIS PRICES ARE BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE I HAVE CONTRACTED WITH AND HE DOES A BETTER JOB OF BREAKING DOWN HIS BID THAN ANYONE ELSE I WORKED WITH. I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM WITHOUT RESERVATION!!!
