Words cannot do justice for how immaculate of a job Gold Leaf Tree Services did with my three green ash trees. Customer service is beyond exceptional. 100% recommended. Had to grab extra business cards for friends and family.

We hired Gold Leaf to remove a 30-40 foot maple tree in our backyard in White Bear Lake on 9/25/2024. The communication from them was excellent and they did an OUTSTANDING job. The estimate we got from them was a great price and we will definitely be hiring them again for any tree work we need done and will also be recommending them to our friends and family as well. As a matter of fact, our neighbor saw how good of work they were doing while they were at our house and is having them do some work for him as well.

If you don't want to read the whole review, the main reason we did not give them 5 stars is that they seriously damaged 2 of our trees and left a mess in our perennial gardens. We believe the plants will come back, but we had a lot of large branches and debris to pick up after they left- we didn't like having to do any clean up- that is why we paid someone. We will likely have to removed the two very damaged trees which makes us really upset. We assumed we would have turf wear, but never did we think a tree company would damage other trees that are not even close the the tree being removed. We didn't notice the damage until they had been paid and left. They also broke our neighbors fence, but did fix that right away. It looks dumb now though because it is the only unstained white peice of the otherwise brown fence. We had 9 different companies come out and give us a quote for our dying elm that was large and over a fence and many perennials. The quotes ranged from 2,000-12,000 with every company having a different way of getting the job done. The main reason we chose Gold Leaf is because we were told that the tree crew would not need to go in our neighbors yard, they were one of three lowest quotes to do the job and because we were told there would be no damage to our yard since they do not use heavy machinery. They were quick to get us a quote. They had the quote in writing and included license and insurance information with the quote. The person who gave us the quote was kind and answered every question. They worked with us on the date, picking a time in their schedule about 3 weeks out. They were a nice balance of not too booked out but also busy. On the day of the cut, they arrived before 8 and got the job done in less than 3 hours. This was less than a half day but also I wonder if the quality was better if they took their time? As promised they did not use any cranes or heavy machinery in our yard. They did have a truck in the driveway and a 4 wheeler with turf tires. Scores 5/5 Ease of Getting a quote/Friendly employee 5/5 Their puntuality for a quote and doing the job when they say 4.5/5 The cost of their service in comparison to other companies 2/5 Doing the job without damaging the yard 2.5/5 Clean up/Fixing anything they break accidently In conclusion, I would think hard about hiring this company again for any job with trees nearby. I think they were quick, cheap and easy to deal with BUT they aren't very careful. If I was removing a tree in an open field, I would probably have had no issue with them and would use them again.

Right on time as scheduled. Good crew. Good teamwork. Positive attitudes. Tony did the initial estimate & reviewed the plan of action on the day of the trimming & communicated the plan to the crew who came ready & prepared with all of the tools needed to get the job done. Whole trimming job was completed in 45 minutes. Initially, I was unsure of the date this service would be provided. However, after sending Tony a couple of tree photos via text message he could see when the tree was ready for trimming & then we established a solid date for this job to be completed. Would recommend this crew to others.

Could not be happier with Tony and his Gold Leaf Crew. Price is fair, work is excellent and professionally done. Right after receiving our quote, our roofing company called to schedule our roof installation a couple weeks earlier than planned. I called up Tony and he was able to adjust the schedule to fit us in 2 days later. His crew arrived first thing in the morning. After a few hours they cleaned everything up. In fact, I would say they left it cleaner than they arrived. Wow, trees look beautiful again. Definitely keeping his contact information and will hire again.

I hired them to take down 2 giant trees from my Minneapolis yard. One tree was supposed to have been left 6 as I was planning to make a gnome house from it. They were supposed to leave the wood having the woodcut to no longer than 24 as that is what my wood splitter can handle. They took both trees down to the ground and close to half the wood pieces left were well over 24. I contacted them stating how upset I was and how they really messed up. I told them I wanted money off or them to remove both stumps for free. They agreed to come back in early April and remove stumps for free. COVID happened and things were closed down so I waited till lawn services opened to contact them for a date they can remove the stumps. They failed to give me a date. I have been waiting now for over a week to get a date of when they will come out to finish the job I paid for and they agreed to! I have sent several emails and they are ignoring them at this point. I will now have to contact the BBB to hopefully get this resolved. Stay away from this company unless you want to encounter problems.

Gold Leaf trimmed some trees and removed others from our lot in prep for construction. The job was done quickly and after some confusion over the scope of the work, Tony made sure it was done as agreed upon. Great job!

Got two quotes for the same job. Gold leak was remarkably cheaper. Then after completing they said it was so easy they didn't need to charge me as much. Seriously great service and job, highly recommend.

This is the second time I had them do my trees I don't think I would ever go to another company thay do great work wonderful price and very nice.

I wish every relationship I had with a contractor or pro was as easy, transparent, and led to as great of a result as my experience with Tony and his crew at Gold Leaf Tree Services. Tony is personable and a good listener. His crewâ especially his arboristâ are amazingly efficient and a pleasure to watch. Our property looks so much cleaner and brighter now. I'll be calling them again next time I need any tree work done.

Tony and his team did a terrific job of trimming a large oak tree in my backyard. After my initial call to Tony for an estimate, Tony came over the next day to look at the tree and to give me an estimate. Tony then scheduled the next day for working on the tree trimming. I wasn't home the day of the trimming but when I called Tony later that night to let him know that there were a couple additional branches that I wanted removed, he and his team came back the next day to complete the job and I am so very happy with the job they did. I would recommend this tree trimming service to anyone.
