"Matt and his team did an exceptional job with our challenging interior paint job—the tongue and groove paneling (walls and ceiling) of our cabin's master bedroom, including a vaulted ceiling. We also asked them to apply a java gel stain to a high ceiling beam and the pitched ceiling of our master bathroom. We couldn't have been happier with the results. Absolute perfection. Matt is professional, timely, and a great communicator. We really appreciated the photos he sent when the project was finished. He had competitive pricing, also. We are so glad we invested in hiring this project out--in the past we've done nearly all interior paint jobs ourselves, but it would have taken us so much time, scaffolding rental, and we wouldn't have done nearly as good a job. Yes, you can limewash surfaces other than brick. Plaster, stone, stucco, and concrete can all also be limewashed. Any porous surface that will absorb the wash is a good candidate for limewash, although it won’t help much with waterproofing. If you choose to limewash over paint, you’ll need to prep before applying it to avoid a powdery, chalky finish. Shiny surfaces like metal or glass can’t absorb limewash, so it’s not suited for these.

You should wait three to six months after you buy it to paint pressure-treated wood. It needs time to dry from the chemicals applied to it. The paint will not adhere to the treated wood as well if it’s still wet from chemicals. To test the wooden boards, drip water onto them. If the wood absorbs the water, it’s ready for painting. If the water beads up, it’s not dry enough to paint yet. You can build your deck or fence while the treated wood is still wet, but you’ll need to paint it later.

It typically takes 1-3 days, depending on weather, fence size, and drying times between coats, particularly for thorough coverage conditioning.

Preparation includes cleaning the fence, sanding any rough areas, applying a primer if necessary, and ensuring dry weather for application.

The easiest way to stain a fence depends on your experience and comfort level with the project. Applying stain with an airless sprayer or pump sprayer might get the stain job done faster, but it can be tricky. Paint rollers and stain brushes are slower but simpler for a DIY project.
