Dennis Silvers Carpentry

The mudroom addition Dennis did for us turned out great. Dennis was punctual, easy to work with, and very professional throughout the process. He kept us updated on developments, and always asked for our input as issues and opportunities for additional benefit arose. Dennis was flexible and open to adjusting the scope of the project, especially when we would suggest changes or additional items throughout the progression of the remodel. He takes great care in his work and it shows. We are very happy with the finished product, which came at a very reasonable price. We will give Dennis a call first for any of our future projects.

The wall/door looks great. He did a perfect job in a timely fashion. He took great care in keeping our home clean during the process. His price was lower than the other bids we had gotten but the quality did not reflect a lower bid. It was very good work.

Dennis arrived on time. He did an excellent job and was careful to limit the sawdust in the kitchen.

We thought we'd need to replace an exterior door. Dennis just worked a bit, readjusting the door until it properly locked. Saved us hundreds which he could have made just by telling us the door needed to be replaced. If I could give him all A+ I would.

Dennis did a great job. He came out promptly to survey the work, sent an accurate estimate, and worked us into his busy schedule to accommodate for our scheduling needs.

Work required both Mr. Silvers and a second carpenter.  It was completed in just about 2 hours.  After removing the fence attached to the post, the deck was supported with a jack to allow the rotting post to be replaced.  The old hardware was removed and the replacement post mounted with new hardware on the existing concrete footing.  Replacing the slightly bowed post meant that the gate that latched to the post no longer fit in the space with the straight post.  Mr. Silvers removed the gate and made the necessary adjustments to mount the hinges deep enough so the gate could swing freely and latch properly.  All in all, this was not a particularly difficult job but it was done with care and skill.  Mr. Silvers was very personable in his dealings with me and communicated everything clearly.

Dennis is did a great job on a door framing job on the second floor of the house.  I am planning on having him back for another job soon.  I try to do most of the work around the house myself, but when I need a more skilled carpenter, Dennis is the first person I'll call.

Dennis is great. I sent an estimate request off his website, and he responded within an hour or two -- even though it was a Sunday. I was able to get on his schedule right away, and he showed up when promised ready to get started. Due to some construction challenges on my end, Dennis had to do a lot of problem solving to figure out how to make it work. He figured it out and the install went great; and he did it all with a smile on his face. I also thought his rate was reasonable and worked efficiently.

I will be using Dennis in the future for additional projects.

The contractor arrived on time and performed all the work promptly.  He came back twice in order to allow us time to paint woodwork before installation.  Went above and beyond in many areas.

We are very happy with the job Dennis did. Our deck looks fantastic. Almost brand new! We will hire Dennis again for other projects that need to be done.

Removed old broken window crank mechanism; then replaced it with a new crank and added a new cover over the mechanism.  FIXED POCKET DOOR - At first Mr. Dennis Silvers (of Dennis Silvers Carpentry) was hoping that all that was necessary to fix the pocket door was to realign it on its track - which he attempted to do.  However, he quickly discovered that in order to fix it correctly the whole door would have to come completely out.  We were concerned that if he took the door out, the wall would get damaged.  Mr. Silvers understood our concern and instead of yanking the trim out he very carefully removed each layer of the trim piece by piece taking care not to damage the wall and removed the door; he took the same care in installing it back properly on to the rail.  The door works great and there was absolutely no damage to the wall.  Our thanks to Mr. Silvers for such a good job - WELL DONE!

Outstanding craftsmen.  Dennis is meticulous and it's easy to tell that he's a craftsman.  After he replaced the jam, the door had a small gap by the top seal due to the frame not being completely square.  He adjusted the door strike plates and hinges to accommodate it and got a great seal.  

One word description: "perfect." Ok, other words - e.g.,  very reasonable price, courteous, good housekeeping, high quality,result, etc., I was so happy with the outcome that I treated him to lunch.

Dennis is very detailed and meticulous in his approach to repairs. Definitely will be using Dennis for any and all repairs that I need in the future.
