"TJ was very communicative and eloquently so when explaining to me various services that I was requesting a prognosis on. I appreciated his reception of my inquisition. Despite not utilizing his services due to not purchasing the home I was seeking estimates on, I would be inclined to reach out to Lipinski Plumbing in the future."

"He gave us recommendations on doing the bathroom ourselves and confirmed the basement as an efflorescence issue rather than mold. unlike other companies that gave us estimates for $ 1,000 of dollars Tim saved the day and made us feel comfortable with the situation. He was the most experienced of all the professionals we had out to the project or merely discussed it over the phone."

"When work was started to remove the crushed rock, there was standing water and a lot of mud.  The construction also took place during the very heavy rains of last June.  Tom dug out all of the crushed rock and enough soil to install a good class 5 base, followed by sand and then 7" think Versa Block pavers.  The job was excellent and came through the winter and spring in fine shape, while our neighbors experienced significant frost heaves.  Tom was punctual, took care to not damage the rest of the yard when removing all of the stone and bringing in the pavers.  The work was excellent and we have received many complements on how it looks.  We feel that we definitely got our money's worth with the job.  I would highly recommend Tom and his team.

"Salesperson was very professional. Took the time to go through all of my options and educate me on the pros and cons of each. The company has a terrific patented product that I believe is the best option for fixing a foundation and keeping your basement dry. The workmen were all clean, courteous and professional. The head of the crew also took the time to walk me through all the steps of the project. The finished product is amazing. My basement is dry and much less musty smelling (the smell gets better every day). GO WITH EVERDRY. They are fantastic overall - attitude, quality of work, customer satisfaction."

Foundation Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

A sewage ejector pump is necessary if you have any plumbing fixtures, such as a bathroom, laundry room, or sink, located below the level of your home's main sewer line. Standard plumbing relies on gravity to move wastewater and solid waste to the municipal sewer or septic tank. However, for fixtures located below grade (e.g., in a basement), gravity is not sufficient.

The purpose of a sewage ejector pump is to actively pump this wastewater and solid waste upward into the main sewer line. Without an ejector pump in this situation, wastewater would have no way to exit and would eventually back up, causing a sewage overflow or flooding in your basement. If all of your home's plumbing is on the main floor or higher, gravity can handle the drainage, and an ejector pump is not needed.

Ideally, your sump pump discharge should run down a natural downhill slope 10 to 20 feet away from your home’s foundation. However, if your property is naturally flat, that might not be an option. Instead, you may be able to discharge it into a neighborhood storm drain or a nearby creek or pond. If that’s not possible, consider burying it underground.

Preventing future basement flooding often involves installing sump pumps, improving drainage, sealing foundation cracks, and maintaining gutters. Costs vary, but preventive measures can range from a few hundred to several thousand dollars, depending on the solutions chosen. Investing in prevention can save you money on future flooded basement cleanup costs and repairs.

Your sump pump will discharge water through a discharge line or pipe. The discharge line should be placed at least 10–20 feet from the foundation to avoid any issues.

No, homeowners insurance policies do not typically cover sump pump installation. However, some companies may offer incentives in the form of discounts or reduced premiums if homeowners install sump pumps. Insurance companies do this because sump pumps can reduce water damage claims. You may also be able to obtain enhanced water-backup coverage after installing a sump pump.
