"Jan 25, 2024 Green's Plumbing demonstrates inappropriate business practices. After I called in a problem with a leaking facete, they send out a tech for 10 minutes to inspect and charged me $120.00, I was unaware of this added charge until They billed me. They refused upfront to give me even a ballpark estimate when requested. They came back the following day and fixed the unit within an hour. When I got the bill, apart from the inspect charge that I was never made aware of, they charged me $286.68 for the replacement facete which is in the local hardware store and sells for $99.99 (Home Depot) After requesting the model number Green's Plumbing refused to give it to me. After a week they called, and the manager gave me wrong information. When I called Delta direct, they said there is no such model number as Green's gave me? However, Delta did work with me and walked me through how to determine the model number which was installed on my facete. When I called to complain to Green's about the markup in the facete cost, the manager at Green's plumbing indicated that they purchase from a distributer that puts out a much higher quality product but is also a Delta. When I requested the distributers name, they refused to give me any information? From my contacts with Delta, I could determine that the faucet model number was identical to what Green's installed. Their manager was very matter of fact and would not help me in any way! I question their honesty and integrity! I will never use or recommend this company to anyone in the future. "I hired Wencl Plumbing to install a radiant heating system (boiler and baseboard radiators). The system install was poor to say the least, and it didn't work right from the beginning. I had to hire another shop to remedy all their bad work and now Wencl Plumbing is coming after me with collections agencies because I subtracted what I spent to fix their bad work from their final invoice (which wasn't enough to cover it anyway, so I'm in the hole from fixing their bad work and they're still coming after me). I'd steer clear of this outfit, no quality control whatsoever, full of...excuses, lies, and misrepresenting facts. Update Feb 2023: Currently I’m paying another shop to complete repairs to the boiler because when Wencl Plumbing installed the water softener (at the time of the boiler install) they never actually started it up. The boiler is now receiving repairs as a result of the softener not being operational, and now the softener may require replacement because it was never actually started and has been trying to run all this time. The hits keep on coming, thanks Wencl Plumbing. Update July 2024: I was contacted by a collection agency looking to collect money on behalf of this hack shop. I told them the same thing I told the last folks. The only way I'm giving that idiot a nickel is if a judge orders it, and there will be a countersuit! I spent a boatload of money to finish the job that Wencl was hired to do and could not and would not finish. Wencl Pluming is run by a hack, there's no quality control, no accountability, no professionalism. This is in regards to management/ ownership, I'm sure some of the folks working there are great. My beef is with Sam Wencl, the hack pin-head owner."

Usually it’s fine to leave a toilet clogged overnight, as long as it’s not close to overflowing. In some cases, the extra time may give the clog time to work itself out. It is not advisable to use drain cleaner in a washing machine. Drain cleaners contain harsh chemicals that can damage the internal components of your washer, including rubber seals, hoses, and even the drum. These chemicals can also react with any residual detergent or fabric softener, potentially leading to noxious fumes. If your washing machine is experiencing drainage issues, it's best to address the problem directly by inspecting and cleaning the lint filter, checking for clogs in the drain hose, or seeking professional repair services. Using drain cleaner in a washing machine is a risky solution that can cause more harm than good.

Ideally, you might find that you only need to clean the sewer line or remove a clog from the main line. That costs $200 to $300. However, “sewer main clogs can cost upwards of $1,000 to clear, depending on what is causing the clog, distance from accessible cleanouts to the clog, and whether there is occupied space below the clogged line (apartment buildings, condos, etc.),” says Botelho.

While not every clog has the same symptoms, the most common early sign that your main sewer line is clogged is that multiple drains in your home are draining slowly. Pouring drain cleaner down a vent pipe isn’t recommended. First of all, unlike a clog in a sink or bath caused by such material as soap scum build-up, toothpaste, and hair, clogs in a vent pipe are likely the result of debris from trees or even an animal stuck in the pipe. Drain cleaners won’t be able to eat through this kind of material. The cleaner will only become clogged in the vent with the debris, causing even more problems.
