"Jeremy did an excellent job on cleaning our carpets and removing some spots that were stained. Making an appointment was really easy and he was on time for the appointment. He went out of his way to clean a few areas that were dirty that were not scheduled and didn't charge us for it.. We really appreciated that he did that....we hadn't noticed the need until he pointed it out. We have used Jeremy for a long time now...we appreciate him and his excellent work. He is definitely someone you would want to hire and his cost has always been reasonable."

Small jobs welcome

I'm a self taught mechanic for over 10 years, from brake jobs to head gasket replacements. I have worked as a phone/device repair technician for 6 years and have made many happy customers whether its installing a new screen or swapping a battery to breathe life back into a trusty device. I can travel within 30 miles of the twin cities metro area. I can provide general maintenance or repairs around your house, from mounting a TV to needing a toilet tank tune up! My work is my pride and I'm very detail oriented, I will be in full communication with you about what you want done and any concerns you may have and not leave any job half baked. Give me a call!

Upholstering questions, answered by experts

The process usually takes 1-2 weeks, and it is highly influenced by the materials, complexity of the project, and any customization desired.

Paper moving pads, also called furniture wrapping paper or paper moving blankets, are sheets of recycled paper used to protect various items during moving. Similar to traditional moving blankets, paper pads are also reusable, making them a sustainable and cost-effective option for protecting your belongings during the moving process. Although they’re recycled, they still provide excellent protection against dust, dirt, and scratches.

Doing your own upholstery work is possible, but it’s typically a better idea to leave the work to professionals. Without experience and the proper tools, it’s difficult to get a professionally finished appearance for your furniture, and many DIYers end up spending money on tools and materials only to hire a professional when they can’t get the fabric to look right. If you have reupholstery experience, feel free to give it a shot. However, if you’re not confident in your skill level or you’re working with antiques, it’s worth the money to hire a pro.

Pros cover many fixes, from upholstery renewals to joint reinforcement.

It is generally worth repairing leather furniture rather than replacing it, as it is typically more affordable and the material tends to retain its value. A typical repair averages around $250, which is significantly less than the thousands of dollars a replacement could cost. Even a full reupholstering, which can cost up to $4,000, may still be more economical than buying new. With proper care, repaired leather furniture can last for many years, making the investment worthwhile. However, if the underlying structure or frame of the furniture is damaged or malfunctioning, replacement might be a better option. The quality of the leather and the furniture piece are also important factors. For a definitive answer, it is best to consult a leather repair professional to assess your specific situation.
