"I recently had the pleasure of working with Daniel and his team at Breslin Blinds for a cellular shade installation, and I couldn't be more impressed. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless. Daniel and his team went above and beyond to ensure that the shades were the perfect fit for my windows, paying close attention to every detail. The level of professionalism was outstanding, and their customer service was exceptional. They were prompt, efficient, and thorough in their work, making sure I was completely satisfied with the final result. It's rare to find such a dedicated team that truly cares about the quality of their service and the satisfaction of their customers. "We had a representative come out and give us estimates to replace a few windows. The rep was great. He took his time with us, answering any questions we had and even brought in actual windows to show us examples of their work. Other companies rushed through their estimates ( I'm assuming it was because we only were getting 3 windows done so it was a smaller project and there were bigger projects out there to be had), or pressured us to get more windows replaced. Wellington stood out from the competitors because there was no pressure and the rep was very upfront about cost and quality of the windows. The only issue we had was getting the workers out to do the project. After we signed papers, the rep said we'd hear from the company in 3-4 days about scheduling workers to come out. A week went by and I finally called them. They got our date set up. On said date, no one came at the time they were supposed to. I called Wellington. They checked into it and said they would call me back with an answer. They didn't call back, but did have a team come out an hour later. I think their communication lines were a bit messed up, but I think a lot of it had to do with them being so busy at the end of the year (it was 2 weeks before the energy tax credit expired and the workers were doing a lot of jobs). The windows got put in that day in about 3 hours. The windows look great and are much less drafty than what we had before. Wellington was very helpful in explaining what we needed to do to get the energy tax credit. We would definitely use Wellington again to replace more windows."

"I was very impressed with this company. The professionals who worked on it were wonderful. They were on time, they were clean and they  were personalble. The quality of the porch is also excellant and is all they told me it would be.
I would encourage Clint to do a better job of communicating with customers once the job gets going but everytime I did talk to him , he was helpful and followed thru with what I needed.
I particularly liked Scott  and Chris who both made sure all my needs were taken care of and everything was done well and completely.  All the guys who worked at my house were a pleasure to have around.
I encourage anyone to use this company.

"The salesperson was so thorough!  He really took me through all the options available and did not try to steer me in one direction.  There was great followup.  The windows I chose were a bit more pricey than I would have liked, but after installation, I have to say I got my money's worth.  Installation was timely and flawless, just one day to install all four windows.  They cleaned up after themselves beautifully and caused a minimum of stress and fuss, considering what they were doing.  All in all, a great experience.  I can recommend Sears with a clear conscience."

Window Treatments questions, answered by experts

If your windows weren’t manufactured with a retaining clip to receive muntins and hold them in place, you should contact a window company near you to add them for you. A professional will bond the muntins directly to the glass to hold them in place, and they’ll make sure the edges line up nicely with your window frames. If your window does have retaining clips to hold muntins in place, you can just pop the muntins into the clips.

There are several downsides to choosing casement windows for your home. Firstly, casement windows can cost significantly more than standard windows—especially if you need to install custom windows. If you plan on installing window AC units, then casement windows aren’t the best option, as it can be difficult to fit an AC unit into windows that open sideways or outwards.

The hinges on casement windows also pose a higher risk for break-ins, as rust and wear and tear can make the hardware easier for burglars to break into.

Tinting your windows will make your house darker since it will prevent some sunlight from getting inside. While you can choose a window film that is on the lighter side, there will still be reduced sunlight. If natural light is important to you, tinted windows might not be the best choice for your home.

Yes, bifold windows can open inward or outward. Your window manufacturer will label windows as “in-swing” or “out-swing,” which indicates the direction they open. If your installer is ordering windows for you, make sure they know which direction you want them to open. In-swing bifold windows will preserve as much space in your outdoor area as possible. Out-swing bifold windows are great on the second floor, where obstructions outside aren’t a concern.

The cost of window replacement is about $290 per window on average, with a typical price range of $180 to $410. However, costs can be as low as $100 or as high as $780 or more. The total price depends on several factors, including the size, type, brand, and number of windows being replaced. The frame material and glass type also significantly impact the cost.

  • Frame Material Costs (per window):

  • Aluminum: $275

  • Vinyl: $550

  • Wood: $800

  • Composite: $900

  • Fiberglass: $1,250

  • Glass Type: Simple double-glazed windows are cheaper ($3 to $6 per sq. ft.) than stronger tempered glass ($12 to $14 per sq. ft.).
