"We had a representative come out and give us estimates to replace a few windows. The rep was great. He took his time with us, answering any questions we had and even brought in actual windows to show us examples of their work. Other companies rushed through their estimates ( I'm assuming it was because we only were getting 3 windows done so it was a smaller project and there were bigger projects out there to be had), or pressured us to get more windows replaced. Wellington stood out from the competitors because there was no pressure and the rep was very upfront about cost and quality of the windows. The only issue we had was getting the workers out to do the project. After we signed papers, the rep said we'd hear from the company in 3-4 days about scheduling workers to come out. A week went by and I finally called them. They got our date set up. On said date, no one came at the time they were supposed to. I called Wellington. They checked into it and said they would call me back with an answer. They didn't call back, but did have a team come out an hour later. I think their communication lines were a bit messed up, but I think a lot of it had to do with them being so busy at the end of the year (it was 2 weeks before the energy tax credit expired and the workers were doing a lot of jobs). The windows got put in that day in about 3 hours. The windows look great and are much less drafty than what we had before. Wellington was very helpful in explaining what we needed to do to get the energy tax credit. We would definitely use Wellington again to replace more windows."

"I met with the salesman on May 5, signed the contract on May 7 which included a June 16 start date, July 5 finish date. The start date was changed to June 30th, then July 28. Long story short, the project was finally completed December 31. There were multiple errors, delays, and poor communication. Most of the delays were due to an out of state engineer who is not very responsive, or so I was told. I am pleased with the finished product, and the cost, but the process was grueling. As time went on the communication did improve, and the workers were very nice. I've been told by the owner that many lessons were learned during my lengthy project, which should have been done in 2 1/2 weeks according to the salesman.
Follow up: it's spring 2015 and the subfloor under the linoleum is buckling, which is not surprising. It was left exposed to sitting water for months during construction due to extended delays. It was buckling after that, and all that was done was sanding the raised areas, which was not a solution based on the outcome. I'm in contact with the owner, Clint, regarding this problem and will follow up on how it is delt with. Clint came and looked at and photographed the issue, we decided to see if it gets worse, and if so, implement a repair.
Follow up 2: now that it's warm we noticed many bugs in the sunroom, and discovered that the screen guards were not installed, creating a bug freeway on every door and window, reported this to Clint, waiting now for this to be taken care of, no ETA has been given..."

Window Treatments questions, answered by experts

Completing window service projects in Saint Cloud can significantly enhance your home’s value and appeal to buyers. Energy-efficient window installation is especially attractive in this climate, helping reduce utility bills and improve comfort. Updated windows also boost curb appeal and can make your property stand out in a competitive market. These improvements often appeal to buyers looking for move-in-ready homes with modern features.

Helpful?

Combining window service with other upgrades in Saint Cloud—such as siding, attic insulation, or exterior painting—can streamline scheduling and reduce overall disruption. Coordinating projects may help you save on labor and permit fees, while also ensuring a consistent look for your home’s exterior. Planning these improvements together, especially during milder seasons, can make project management smoother and more efficient.

Helpful?

In Saint Cloud, you’ll find window installation specialists who focus solely on new windows, as well as general contractors who include window replacement in larger renovation projects. Glass repair experts handle cracked panes and hardware fixes, while some local pros specialize in historic window restoration or storm window upgrades to suit the region’s weather. Many offer both residential and light commercial services.

Helpful?

Be cautious of window service quotes in MN that lack itemized details or seem unusually low. Avoid contractors who won’t provide proof of insurance or hesitate to discuss proper insulation and weatherproofing for the local climate. Watch for high-pressure sales tactics, vague timelines, or reluctance to share references from recent Saint Cloud projects. Always confirm that required permits and cleanup are included in the proposal.

Helpful?

Upgrading windows in Saint Cloud improves comfort by eliminating drafts, reducing noise, and enhancing indoor air quality. Modern windows help maintain consistent indoor temperatures during harsh winters, preventing condensation and moisture issues. Enhanced security features and UV protection also safeguard your home’s interiors. With better natural light and insulation, your living spaces become more pleasant and energy-efficient year-round.
