"I was very happy with the service we received from All Seasons Tree Service. I called them early in the morning and the owner came right over (within a half hour) to look at our problem. Our trees were in a bad location, growing out of a tree well, and we live up on a bluff with difficult access. One tree had come down 2 days earlier and had fallen on the power lines in front of our house. There was a big mess to clean up from Excel Energy in front of our house next to the road. There was another tree ready to fall that had been growing next to the other tree hanging over our driveway and stairs where people walk and I was afraid it would fall on someone. We talked about cost and gave them the job right away because of their promt attention to the matter. I called them a 7:30 am and within an hour or so the whole crew was at our house. They were so fast and it was a hard job!  They also had to climb up one of our trees in the back yard  (which is huge and high up there) as we can't get any equipment back there and trim branches off of that tree. The guys had to carry all those big limbs down to the truck. I think this big job only took them 21/2 hours including cleanup! Wow! They cleaned everything up except they forgot one big piece of the tree that was hidden under a pine tree. No big deal although I wish they would have brought it with them because it is huge. They did a great job. It was a difficult job as they had to carry pieces of the cut up tree down stairs and also over a 2 tiered retaing wall.  I felt sorry for the guys they were really working hard! They really get down to business! I would for sure use them again!

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

While unplugging your garbage disposal and plugging it back in may help, most units have an actual reset button, a bright red switch found on the underside of your unit. If your garbage disposal needs resetting, you may notice this button sticking out about a quarter of an inch from the surface of the unit, with which it’s usually flush. Simply depress this reset button to reset the unit, and then test to ensure it’s working about 10 minutes later.

Soil is just one of the items you shouldn't put down a garbage disposal. Garbage disposals are only meant for soft, non-fibrous foods. Large amounts of topsoil, dirt, or rocks will damage the blades of your garbage disposal or clog the pipes. If a small amount of dirt goes down the drain as you repot a plant, you shouldn't have to worry, but never dump a whole pot of soil in the sink for fast disposal.

Replacing a garbage disposal costs anywhere from $150 to $950, but the average cost is somewhere around $550. There are two types of garbage disposal units, and continuous feed disposals tend to cost more than batch feed disposals. Going for an aluminum garbage disposal is also significantly cheaper than choosing a stainless steel garbage disposal. You'll also need to factor in the horsepower of the motor, labor, and the removal and disposal of your old unit.

Once you have your garbage disposal disconnected, you can remove the mounting bracket by unscrewing the bolts that are holding the bracket. You can back them out just enough to pop off the snap ring, which prevents the bottom portion of the bracket from disconnecting from the top when you unscrew the bolts. Use a regular screwdriver to pop off the snap ring, and the rest of the components should fall off by themselves.

There are many maintenance and repair issues that lead to a malfunctioning garbage disposal. Regular clogs place wear and tear on the motors, leading to an eventual shutdown. Electrical issues at the breaker, wall outlet, or disposal itself can fry the unit. The most common cause is simply a worn-down motor. These motors can only handle so much use before powering down for good.
