"We needed minor drywall repairs due to a roof leak, popcorn ceiling removal and new wall paint in several rooms, as well exterior painting of the entire house. The Highrollers Painting team was punctual, very well-organized, approachable, fast, attentive to every detail and overall outstanding to work with. The ceiling, interior walls and exterior siding all look fantastic! It was truly a pleasure to work with Leo, Alex and the rest of the team - thank you for your professionalism and excellence! We are enjoying the refreshed and modern look of our home!"

Small jobs welcome

"From the first moment I met Duane I knew I was going to hire him. I was so impressed with how he only wants the best for his clients. He took care of all my interior walls that needed to be done in a timely manner and it turned out amazing. I am so happy I decided to go with him. They took their time to go over everything with me and repaired some areas on my walls that I had no idea would ever turn out the way it did. I will use them again and I would highly recommend Resurrection Painting. Duane and his team member very nice to talk to and care about their clients."

Customers say: True professional

"We hired Davids Painting to clean and restain our 2 level deck. Each level is 10' X 20" with cedar shake wall along the lower level. They were professional, thorough and kept us informed on the progress of the project. They kept the area clean and neat all the while they were here and were very pleasant to work with. I would give Davids Painting a 5 Star Review and would reccomend them to anyone."

"Ivan was great to work with. We had him replace siding and all windows, paint outside, a new front door, paint all walls and ceilings inside, replace counter-tops, paint cabinets and trim, remove an interior wall and bar, replace all sinks, add new lighting plus numerous small projects. He checked in daily to make sure the work was getting done properly. We encountered some delays (much of which was out of his control) but he always did everything in his power to make things right. He was willing to do whatever it took to make us happy. He treated us with integrity and the prices were very reasonable. We love the new look to the house and would definitely use him again"

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

The best way to remove lead paint is by wet hand sanding and removing all dust and residue with a HEPA vacuum. Professionals may also strip and scrape lead-based paint with a paint scraper. In some cases, you may choose to have a pro encapsulate or enclose your lead-based paint surface by covering it with a sealant or a new material. You may also choose to replace the material altogether.

You don’t necessarily have to remove all the old paint before repainting your deck, but it’s best to remove as much as possible to ensure a smooth and long-lasting finish. Prioritize scraping off loose, peeling, or flaking paint, and sand down rough areas to create a smooth surface for the new paint to bond with.

Pressure washing is the best way to remove paint that’s already peeling from certain types of vinyl and aluminum siding and some masonry. However, if the paint is largely intact and not yet peeling, or if your siding material can’t withstand the pressure, you may need to use other methods, such as chemical paint strippers, a heat gun, a paint scraper, or sanding.

It’s best to use a slightly slower-working paint remover that is safer to use, such as mineral spirits, because the strongest spray paint removers are often also the most toxic. Many of these products contain dangerous chemicals, such as methylene chloride, which the EPA banned for most uses in April 2024 after it was established as a major carcinogen.

WD-40 can help remove paint on wood floors, but use it cautiously. Start with a small amount and let it sit for a few minutes, then gently scrape the paint off using a plastic (not metal) scraper. You may want to test it first on a hidden area to ensure it doesn't damage the finish. Professional products specifically designed for hardwood may be a better choice for large or stubborn paint spots.
