If your door is sticking at the bottom because it’s making contact with the floor, there are a few fixes you can try. Start by tightening the hinge screws. Next, check for a floor sweep or insulation on the bottom edge of the door that is getting caught on the floor. If these solutions don’t work, try sanding the bottom edge of the door.

WD-40 can help with a stiff or squeaky hinge, but it’s a short-term rather than a long-term solution. It works by breaking down rust and grime, but it evaporates quickly and won’t keep the hinge lubricated for long. After using it to free up the movement, wipe the hinge clean and follow up with a true lubricant like silicone spray or white lithium grease. 

First, it's possible that your door hinge pin was designed not to be removable for security purposes. If this is the case, the pin is either encased within the barrel or secured using rivets. If a pin is stuck even though it's intended to be removable, it may be weighed down by paint or rust. If dried paint is causing a pin to stick, use a knife to carefully cut through the layers of paint that are caked into the area between the plate and pin. If rust is the culprit, lubricate the area.

Wood putty is a great tool for fixing a hole in a door, especially if you’re working with stained wood or if the hole is relatively small. If you have a stained door, make sure to match the putty to the color of your door. Otherwise, it will be obvious that there was once a hole there. To fix larger holes in a door, you might need spray foam to fill the void and apply wood putty on top (to avoid using a large amount of putty).
