After working all day they then tell us they cannot fix our problem but that we still have to pay for labor and materials because they cannot return them since the they have been opened. What!!?"

Some homeowners worry that roof cleaning will shorten the life of their roof by removing shingle particles or protective coatings, but it often extends roof life by removing plants that cause damage and improves your home’s curb appeal simultaneously.

Clean debris, treat for moss, and schedule regular inspections to prevent water damage.

If you don’t have gutters, you can hang Christmas lights on your tile roof or shingles with the right kind of roof clips. Again, you should avoid using nails or staples, as they could damage your roof’s material. Adhesive light-hanging clips are best for hanging lights on a roof.

For most people, summer is the best season to clean roof shingles. You want a day with dry weather and comfortable temperatures. In hot climates, late spring may work better for washing shingles. Avoid cleaning roof shingles at any time where ice could form from applying water in low temperatures.
