Sackett's Fireplace

My goal was simple: take advantage of my open and airy living room with a sloped 8 -~16 foot ceiling by remodeling the small, drab and outdated fireplace into THE outstanding centerpiece of my home--but not in such a manner that the fireplace becomes an overwhelming albatross hovering over my guests. I felt there was a thin line, and Sackett did not disappoint. My new Realstone Sierra Accentstone ~14’ high floor-2-ceiling fireplace boasts a top-rated Fireplace Xtrordinair 864 Clean Face unit with an artfully built medium-stained hickory box-shelf, distressed mantel and a masterfully constructed 14”-high curved hearth with limestone top (both built by Sackett on site)--it says "Wow Factor" to any and all who enter my mostly open floor plan home. I upload a picture to this comment as I believe it certainly can say more than I could ever write about Sackett’s workmanship! While the width and depth “footprint” dimensions of my fireplace did grow mildly larger than my initial planned specs (likely caused by constraints posed by the materials/unit I selected), Sackett ensured my new fireplace did not grow to a point that it would crowd my furniture or cramp my guests--it remains warm & welcoming. Quite an accomplishment. I.e., Sackett seemed to know the right—no, the perfect—fireplace dimensions for the room. Sackett either provided me appropriate guidance to make the right decisions or made the right decisions itself to ensure my new fireplace achieved my goals for my room and home. It is so inviting and relaxing for me and my guests to be warmed by a Sackett Fireplace--I could not be happier and I have used it virtually every day since it was built/installed! Aesthetically, opting to hire Sackett Fireplace to replace and remodel my fireplace has been the single most transforming home improvement project I have undertaken in my home. I trust Sackett’s workmanship and its guidance and decision-making—I definitely recommend Sackett's Fireplace and I would hire them again.

I think they do good work. He said we needed to have some "tuck work" done to replace some crumbling bricks. There was a communication issue and they did some additional work without confirming we actually wanted it done. We will use them in the future if we can come to a resolution.

It did not go well. Very disappointed. The work done was not of good quality. Many times when I tried to call their office, there were issues with their phones. They were not punctual. They did not come most of the times they said they were going to. I do not recommend them. The job started in the fall. Completed in April.

They were very friendly and accommodating. They did the work fast and took care to make it look fantastic. The finished product (a flour to ceiling stone fire place with gas insert) was beautiful and very well done.

They were punctual. The job that they did was exceptional and of high quality. The price was more than fair. I would use them again.
