He has helped us avoid costly repairs because he uses good common sense, something that was obvious in Jim's first visit, but not so with other contractors. We have more jobs lined up for him and are happy to have found him!

  • All Terrain
Cody and his crew did each of the projects to my satisfaction. My only challenge in working with Cody is that he is very busy and as I don't live in my up north place full time yet, it feels like my jobs get reprioritized when he gets busy. Overall I will wait to work with Cody every time because I find him to be hardworking, honest and resourceful. I feel like I'm getting what I pay for and appreciate his work ethic and honesty

After purchasing an outdoor shed from this company, necessary arrangements were made for the delivery. The delivery date was delayed one day. I received and accepted a telephone call of the delay and the reason. The delivery was made the following day with professionalism. I was very satisfied with the company

GREAT! its been two years since the install now & things are great. I have not stained the fence yet - which he did recommend - but it has not moved an inch even with the harsh winter we had in 13-14. Great pricing and easy to work with.

I was more than pleased with the job Rick, and Durable Fence, did for us. Rick listened carefully to what was important to us in fencing the yard. He was considerate, prompt, did custom fence and gate work for us, and completed the job exactly as proposed from a financial and timely perspective. I HIGHLY recommend this company

This company had competitve pricing. Their initial price was a little bit higher than the other fencing companies we spoke with but Perfect Fence eventually lowered their price for us. We were very pleased with the quality of their work. They also used quality materials. They didn't clean up as nicely as we would have liked, as we did find a few items that we would have run over with our lawn mower. They also completed the work about a week after our initially agreed upon timeframe. However, we still recommend them to others

Initially, the office staff was slow to respond, but once the job was scheduled, it proceeded in a timey manner. Installation work crew was professional, friendly, and competent. Excellent equipment for drilling thru concrete. Great product and installation.

  • Apple Fence Co
initially responsive and were able to give me a quote in the off-season to determine if I could afford the work needed to be performed. came out in spring and provided an accurate quote and were willing to come down in price when asked based on competitive quotes. although not the cheapest, (a) I developed a great relationship with the entire team, (b) the quality was worth the additional cost, and (c) they were able to complete the entire job within 1 day. while sometimes difficult to contact while in the off-season (phone is the most-effective communication), I would recommend them in the future

Fencing FAQ

  1. How much does it cost to install a fence?

Answer: The average cost to install a fence is $2,600. A variety of factors will impact the overall cost of fencing installation, such as the length of the fence, the materials you choose, and local labor costs. Fencing projects using the lowest cost materials and with lower labor costs can cost as little as $1 to $6 per linear foot, while projects using the highest cost materials and with higher labor costs may be as high as $15 to $45.

  2. Do I need a permit to build a fence around a yard?

Answer: Whether you’ll need a permit to build a fence around your yard will depend on your city or county's local codes. Many metropolitan and suburban areas require a permit to install most fencing, but they may not for fences situated behind a house as opposed to in front of it or fences that don’t run within a certain distance of the road. To find out if you’ll need a permit to fence your yard, reach out directly to your local government office.

  3. What is the cheapest fence to install?

Answer: The cheapest fencing to install is chain-link fencing. Chain-link fencing is typically cheaper than other fence types because the materials cost less, and installation is generally quicker and easier than other options. Chain-link fencing is affordable, easy to install, and low maintenance. However, it’s usually considered less secure than other options and doesn’t increase resale value as much as fences made of different materials.

  4. Is a wood or vinyl fence cheaper?

Answer: Wood fences are generally cheaper than the cost of vinyl fences. While the cost of materials for wood and vinyl fences is usually very similar, the labor cost associated with installing a vinyl fence is higher. Wood fencing is also easier to install than vinyl fencing, making it possible to save money by making wood fence installation a DIY project. It’s also possible to DIY install a vinyl fence.

  5. What is the life expectancy of a vinyl fence?

Answer: Vinyl fencing can be expected to last between 10 and 30 years. Vinyl fencing is generally low maintenance, but proper care will ensure it lasts as long as possible. Its long life span and high return on investment make vinyl fencing a popular option for many homeowners.

  6. What type of fence adds to the property value?

Answer: Installing quality fencing, no matter the fence type, will generally add value to your property. In general, fences made of longer-lasting, lower-maintenance, and more attractive materials—like wrought-iron, composite, or vinyl—add more value to a property than fences made of lower-cost or less attractive materials, like chain-link. To ensure your fencing adds as much value to your home as possible, be sure it’s properly permitted, approved by your homeowners association (if you have one), and installed properly.
