They'll give you an incomplete project plan, then attempt to bilk you for thousands upon thousands of dollars more. I'm out over $60,000.00 and I have a less than half completed basement, which is only 400 sqaure feet. Addressed concerns with Matrix and they show zero concern, they could care less and are laughing all the way to the bank. Shameful business practice, not to be trusted. Filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well in hopes others do not get taken advantage of like I did."

Their quote was competitive, (within five percent of other proposals), and the materials Pennings used for the job were, in some cases, superior. They were patient with us as we tweaked the design multiple times. We were delighted at the creativity and inspiration their architect provided to our project. Careful attention was paid to insuring the addition looked like it was part of the original design of the home, and it shows! The architect gave us multiple options to choose from, one of which even decreased the footprint without compromising design or our priorities, and actually reduced costs. Through the process, we met all of the senior management at the company. Not only is everyone extremely competent, but also personally delightful. They are very customer focused, and are always looking to exceed expectations. Our project manager has been phenomenal. From the very beginning, he shared the daily schedule with us so we knew exactly what to expect and prepare for. Changes were also communicated, and accommodations were made to be as non-intrusive as possible in our lives during construction. We were involved in every decision, whether small or large, and we had the freedom to make adjustments along the way. If any concerns arose with sub-contractors, we only had to communicate with Pennings and any issues were handled immediately. We chose to take on some of the work ourselves to reduce the overall cost of the project, and there were no objections.
