"I have dealt with a lot of tree service cos. In my 73 years in multiple states. Shane and his team is as good as it gets. A 10. I have several friends that have used him and all are pleased. Tim the Arborist came out on a Saturday and said the tree would not make it through another wind storm within splitting in two. They showed up early for Monday’s apt. Took the tree down & did an exceptional clean up of the worksite. The stump grinder came 5 days later. Did a great job too. A few days later Shane’s crew showed up again to smoothen out the landscape. All I have to do is spreed some seed or have another tree planted."

"It's not often I can totally recommend a business without reservation. Eagle's Nest Tree Service truly delivers. Jason and his team showed up within a day of my call, took down 8 large dead/dying pine trees, cleaned up and were gone within hours. Their prices are very reasonable! If you have tree removal or trimming needs, these are your guys!"

""I recently had a tree removal service performed at my home, and I was highly impressed with the experience. The team was exceptionally professional and punctual, completing the job swiftly and efficiently. Their pricing was very reasonable, and they went above and beyond by ensuring I reviewed their work before leaving, to confirm my satisfaction. Their kindness and attention to detail stood out, and I would not hesitate to recommend their services. I will definitely be hiring them again in the future.""

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

You should plant trees at least 15 to 20 feet away from your house, and more if the tree will grow large and spread its limbs. Trees pose several dangers to houses when planted too close. They can litter the roof with leaves and branches, create fire hazards, make a ladder for larger pests, and even damage the foundation as their roots grow.

It depends on where you live—but in most areas, leaves begin falling in September and continue falling until January or February. Warmer regions, such as Southern states, may see leaves fall a bit later in the calendar year. It also depends on the type of trees in your yard and their maturity.

You don’t always need a permit to grind a stump, but you might need one depending on your location and the stump’s surroundings. Permits are often needed if the stump is part of a protected tree species, near public areas or utility lines, or close to environmentally sensitive zones like wetlands. Some cities also regulate noise and work hours. Always check local rules before grinding, and contact your city or county office if you're unsure.

Peach trees grow to be about 25 feet, so keep this in mind for pruning as well. If you plan to DIY, you’ll need to be comfortable working on a ladder. Without pruning, peach tree branches can sprawl nearly as wide as the tree grows tall, so make sure to plan pruning sessions at least once per year in the spring for controlled growth. And if you’re working on a ladder, be sure to follow all safety precautions, especially if you’ll be dealing with falling branches.

There are a few general rules to follow that will help you prune your trees correctly. One of the most important rules is to prune during the correct season for the type of tree you have. Typically, pruning should be during late winter. For younger trees, you should not remove more than a ⅓ of the tree's crown when pruning. Also, remember to remove dead and diseased branches first, then proceed with pruning the rest of the tree.
