"Clean Cut Painting applied a concrete floor coating in my garage, and I?m really impressed with the outcome. The team worked efficiently and made sure every detail was done properly. The surface looks clean, glossy, and very durable. It has completely improved the look of the space. I would definitely recommend their service to anyone considering floor coating."

"Wonderful experience with OC Construction! Wallpaper was removed quickly. Patching & painting was then performed and looks wonderful. We unfortunately had to delay the project multiple times after wallpaper removal & patching due to our project & railing replacement. OC was “extremely” understanding to say the least. They were so accommodating. Would definitely hire & work with them again. Highly recommend!!"

Customers say: Quick response

"This was the BEST company I have ever hired!! Glen and his crew were on time every single day and were willing to work as late as I asked them to. They did an amazing job remodeling my entire house to get it ready to sell. I will absolutely be calling them to remodel my new home. 5 stars is not enough to give them for going above and beyond my expectations!!"

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

It is not always necessary to remove old stain before restaining a deck. If the previous stain is in good condition and is compatible with the new stain, you may be able to apply a new coat after thorough cleaning. However, if the old stain is in bad condition, flaking, or peeling, it is best to remove it completely to ensure an even surface and proper adhesion for the new coat. Staining over a damaged layer can lead to an uneven finish and poor penetration. For best results, test a small area first and consult the stain manufacturer's guidelines.

The need for a topcoat on a painted deck depends on various factors, primarily the type of paint used and your desired level of protection. Many premium deck paint formulations are self-sealing, eliminating the necessity for an additional topcoat. These paints often have built-in additives that substantially protect against moisture, UV rays, and everyday wear and tear.

Choosing the best color for your home exterior should factor in longevity as well as your personal taste. To keep your house looking newly painted as long as possible, stay away from red paint. Although red homes pop and are quintessential for country-style barns, red paint tends to fade fastest in the sun. Go with earth tones if you want paint that best resists fading.

No, it is not okay to paint over rotted wood. Painting over rotted wood will not address the underlying issue and can trap moisture, leading to further decay. Properly addressing the rotted wood by removing and replacing or repairing the damaged areas is necessary before you can even consider painting.

Yes, you can and should paint or stain pressure-treated wood to help prevent the boards from cracking. However, you must wait for the wood to dry out completely before applying any finish. Freshly treated wood can take weeks or even months to dry; a common recommendation is to wait three to six months. To check if the wood is ready, perform a simple water test: drip some water onto the surface. If the water beads up, the wood is still too wet and needs more time to dry. If the wood absorbs the water, it is dry enough to be painted or stained. You can proceed with building your deck or fence while the wood is still wet, but you will need to wait to apply the paint or stain.
