house was being listed. Called TheGuy, had always seen his flyers and trucks around. I wanted a spring cleanup as well, asking for removal of the large saplings and hedges squared in the back yard that needed trimming as well. They explained they would do anything outdoors I needed at a flat hourly rate of $78.00. A bit steep for lawn work, I thought, but she claimed it was actually for 2 individuals not 1, and the job would finish that much quicker. I suggested they drive by and take a look at the hedge because the hedges were not overly tall, but they might want to consider use an extension or step stool should the equipment to trim be short. She said it should not be an issue. I also wanted the saplings cut, weed whipped, and everything edged. She explained that edging was done every other $29 visit. But would make note of the request. Later in the week received an invoice, for $234, 3 hours work. Then a second invoice, because the first one was wrong they forgot to put some $25 extra fee in there for wood chips used. Ok, fine, whatever. I gladly paid the bill. Happy to know it was cleaned up. I wish I hadn?t. I should have just told them I?d find somebody else after the outcome. A few days later I went to the house and found that the saplings were still growing around the trees, the edging had not been done, and the hedges were only ½ done, and not half done like ½ of the total hedges done, but only the half they could cut with trimmer from the ground, I would guess they did not bring a step stool like I suggested originally. But rather found it acceptable to just cut the top half way and leave. They looked horrible on top, the closest side was cut down about 1 ft from the back half which stood all overgrown and out of control. Yet they billed me for this job. I took pictures of it all, sent an email with the pictures and explained that I was very disappointed. A woman named Sarah wrote me back and said she was sorry for the issues, and will send out a work crew to return and address the bushes. (But she left out a key piece of information; they will be back out, at the same per hour charge) I later returned, the bushes got a bit more trimmed off and were at least square. Edging still had not been done, and saplings were still there, but as she explained to me originally, the edging might actually get done every other trip. Maybe they will get this next week. The grass looked like they came in with a industrial tractor and did 2 sweeps though the yard and were gone in 5 minutes. The first thing they realtor said to me when she showed up for final pictures were, ?you need to fire whoever it is doing the lawn work around here? She?ll send over her handy man to clean up this mess quickly so we can get pictures. That was until this morning. When I was contacted by phone. Asking if I received the invoices via email, or the ?collection? calls. Because I had not paid my bill since the first invoice. Who exactly did you call? Not this number that I just answered your phone call on. Or that email address. I work in IT, I know if emails are sent or not sent, I checked the inbox and the spam filters, and our gateways, and there were no emails ever sent. I asked her to send me them again while we were on the phone, and magically here they all come, just like the magic of me just now picking up the phone they never called before. What?s in the invoice??? Well how about another $78 an hour for FIXING the hedges. 3 more cuts, at $29 and the edging is still not done? weeds are now coming out of the cracks between driveway slabs, saplings I gave up on and did myself. The kid down the street with a push mower who did it all cockeyed and uneven did a better job than this. I seriously expected a profession service and just never saw a glint of professionalism out of any of this. I told the woman on the phone, ?just send me the invoices, and stop doing the work, I?m really not happy with any of this service, it?s something I can?t be bothered with right now.? She then informs me of the cancelation fee? WHAT? Oh, yeah, another thing you forgot to inform me of, Oh, there?s that pattern again. Whatever, I pay somebody to do the lawn for me because I have bigger things I need to deal with. I was able to at least talk her out of that fee. Like many in the area, my whole house was flooded this week; I have so many other issues to worry about right now then this racket here. I paid all of it, just to make it go away, I don?t want to argue about it. Have my extra money for the work you want to claim done right the first time. All the glossy cards left on area doors, and mail flyers with the cute little stick guy on it is great marketing, but I?m better off with the kid that walks up and down the street with the push mower and takes a few minutes to put some pride in the job. I went and did the edging myself as well.

We cannot recommend them however because they did not stand behind their work when issues arose. Dave, the designer, helped us make some good choices, but he also led us astray on other choices. His lack of knowledge of how some of those products would work (or not work) in our bath led to issues later on during installation. For example, we were led to believe that extra body sprays would work in our shower, but the plumber could not install them so they could actually be used. It's been 2 years and I have only used them once. We were assured that the fan would be "whisper quiet," but it is noisier than the one that was replaced. Also, we cannot use the fan and have the floor heater on at the same time without tripping the GFCI on the heater control. The electrician replaced the control, but it still trips. The response after that was simply that we were wrong about any connection to the fan, and that they didn't know what caused it. Some of their subs are excellent (drywall, plumbing), but others needed supervision. Mario, the tiler, can do excellent work, but he also makes mistakes when he tries to work too fast. He always seemed to be concerned more about getting to his next job than finishing our job. The project manager, Steve, was a no show. Even though many issues arose during our project, I never spoke to Steve on the phone and never saw him at our house. We would leave messages on his cell phone, and a day or two later he would leave a message on our land line. I think he knew this was a way to avoid actually speaking to us. In the weeks following completion of our project, we had problems with the new toilet that had been installed. The owner, Don, became involved and did not immediately stand behind his products or work. He dragged it out for a weeks while he claimed to be checking with Kohler for a replacement. Ultimately, they replaced the toilet, but not without a lot of time and effort wasted on our part. We did not expect a project like this to go without glitches, but it was very disappointing that McDaniel's did not always stand behind its work. Highly unprofessional. Don't waste your time if you are in a rush to get a job done. Called to have someone come out and appraise the work I needed done. Given the reviews on Angie's List, I figured I should give them the benefit of being well reviewed and wait the week for someone to show up and walk the backyard with me. Gave me a quote that day. Ended up turning away another company for the same cost based on the higher marks Angie's list gave these guys. Mark mentioned multiple times that they were busy and it would be about 2 weeks before they could start. But it really should only be a one day job. This was on June 5th. Signed the work contract and emailed it back to them the next morning. After not hearing back from them 3 days later I called, just to confirm my email wasn't lost or never received. They did get it, and suggested it was in bad form not to confirm receiving it, but they have been busy. I should expect the scheduling call sometime in the next week and a half. 2 weeks past and I received a call saying they wont be scheduling me right now due to the amount of bad weather we've been having and the amount of "Emergency work" they have been getting from it. But expect a call really soon, as they just need to finish up this new work. So now almost 3 weeks in and I'm being told the amount of work in the line in front of me has increased. If they are so swamped with work, as they have mentioned to me multiple times now, why take on more work, and push off already waiting work in hand. I'm sure it must be "Emergency work premium fees" I find this behavior very unprofessional. Now 1 month after the first call to this company, my back yard is still a jungle of out of control growth, and I find myself back on Angie's list to find a company that wants to take my money. The employee that came to my home was very professional and friendly. He clearly explained the process before spraying. We are very pleased with outcome. Before the spray we had many ticks that actually landed on my husband and I. Afterward I can sit on the grass while pulling weeds or kneel...

This is the second season with them, and i discontinued the service. In 2015, I prepaid for teh service, and while not perfect, my lawn looked healthy. I called several times regarding weeds, and although they left signs saying weeds were treated, they never seemed to get ahead of the weeds....

"The owner Jesse and his team assessed the job and spent the late day and evening to ensure the job was done right. My wife and I prior to Jesse, had bats above and four mice trapped. It was time to rid them from our home permanently. Jesse spent time prior to the work to fully explain in detail. He and his team were professional from start to end of the job. I highly recommend Jesse and his team. The total price may seem expensive at first, yet, worth every dollar. They use technologies for bat proofing unlike others. Bats, Bees and Mice are good and Jesse stands behind his work."

FAQs for bird control service projects in Presque Isle, MI
Different pest control methods exist to help mitigate an infestation. Not every technique will work with every pest, which is why speaking with a pest control expert is crucial to taming your problem. Different methods of pest removal include:
The cost of pest control is $175 for the average homeowner. However, you could spend as little as $100 or as much as $500 or more, depending on the infestation size, the number of visits you need, and the pest you’re exterminating.
For example, if you need to rid your home of spiders, you’ll likely be spending between $100 and $300. However, if you have a termite problem, you can expect a bill of $230 to $2,500 or more, depending on the infestation size and damage caused.
Animal removal specialists specialize in removing critters and wildlife from in and around your home. These include:
Bats
Birds
Groundhogs
Moles and voles
Opossums
Mice and rats
Raccoons
Skunks
Squirrels
The specialist's method to remove these critters will depend on the animal. For example, groundhogs will be live-trapped and relocated, whereas, for birds, the expert will remove and discard the inactive nest and sanitize the area.
Professional animal removal costs between $200 and $600 for average homeowners. However, depending on the type and number of critters removed, this cost could range from $85 to $1,400.
This cost does not include the cost of home damage caused by the animal, which could be as low as $300 for minor drywall repair or as much as $15,000 for crawl space cleaning and restoration.
Even if you’re not immediately showing signs of pests, it’s a good idea to get into the habit of routine pest control. This should be done yearly, quarterly, bi-monthly, or monthly, depending on your location and if any signs of infestation are already present. For example, if you live by water, you might experience more pests in the spring and summer than someone who lives in a dry climate. Discuss treatment options with your pest professional to determine a suitable schedule for you and your home.
