Absolutely Terrible and Lawn is dying with their services! We have been using them for 10 years. This year their applied services have ruined our lawn. Bloomfield manager came out finally and said,”Yep your lawn is needed up!” And the did it! Used to have best lawn in the neighborhood with sod and no weeds! Not anymore and the same services were performed by TrueGreen as previous years! We are going to post signs in our yard saying “Work performed by TrueGreen”!!! Absolutely the worst lawn killing service!!

I just moved out to the Macomb Township and decided to hire TrueGreen to take care of my lawn weed, aeration and fertilization needs. This turned out to be a huge mistake. I have had discolored spots and weeds most of the summer/fall. They have yet to get it under control to my satisfaction. Trying to get them to honor their promise to come out between treatments has been a chore as well. I have heard several excuses ranging from weather issues, it is too close to my last treatment, it is too close to my next treatment, or were not sure why the service guy didn't show up. I also had received a call that I was due for aeration on X day and please mark my in ground sprinklers with flags. The day comes and goes and no one shows up. I call and they have no idea how I was accidentally dropped from the schedule and the earliest they can get someone out is several days away. I am so mad at myself that I paid for the year of service up front. I am cancelling my service after my last appointment and will not be using them again .I have called and complained and they want to do is try and sell me on another year of service. We'll fix the problem and give you x off another year. thanks but no thanks

I have a service agreement with them. They come out depending on what they are doing. They come out in June and August. They also come out in the Fall. They might come out every other month. I don't have any grubs. I don't have them aerate the grass. The cost is comparable. It's a little bit more, but I am more satisfied than other companies I have used. It's a little bit more expensive. The quality of the work is good. Most of the time I am not here. They will leave me a note on the door to let me know. They also call to let me know. They tell me they are coming on a Monday, and will then leave a bag telling me what they did when they were here. I will keep using them as long as they don't rectify if I have any problems. So far the grass is green. I have other issues with the side, but that's another story.

We are happy with them. We paid one lump sum at the beginning. We have seven treatments scheduled. When they started the treatments we had some problems with resistant weeds. They came out and did an additional treatment free of charge. It would be better for us if they were more consistent in the day and times of the treatment so that we can make sure someone is home and the dogs put away. They just come when they are in the area, it is not a schedule.

Last year they were supposed to do something to try and save a tree that we have, but the tree died.   I told them I was very dissatisfied with what had gone on with the tree, but they said oh well, we couldn't do anything for the tree.  Of course, they promised me last year they would. But I would give them a C or a D as far as what went on with the tree. Overall, I would probably give them a D.  The price was higher than the lawn.  They gave it three applications or four applications last year, and I'm finishing off what I pre-paid this year.  But for all their assurances that they were gonna take care of this and if it didn't work out I'd get my money back, that's not happened.  I think the price is probably a little high.  It's more expensive than it is for the lawn.  I really did believe they were gonna do something for it.  When I called to complain this year, they someone would be in contact with me 24 to 48 hours later.  They showed up a week later.  If I was home, fine - if I wasn't, fine.  They knocked on the door and said oh well, this tree's dead.  I said I know it's dead, I thought you were gonna take care of it.  And he said oh well, the tree was already sick.  I said yes, that's why I hired you.  It was like talking to myself, so there was no point in continuing the conversation.  I don't care if they never come back the rest of the year; I don't wanna see them for that.

I can't say that they didn't do a great job on the grass, because they have done a great job with the grass.  They started working on the lawn last July.  I would definitely give them an A for what they did with the grass.  The lawn, he's done a great job with.  The service on the grass was $37.74 and they did it like five or six times.  For the lawn care I would give them an A.  For price, I think they're probably right around what most people would charge.  It might be a little high.  They've really done a great job with the grass.  I would give them an A on what they did with the grass, in every way, shape, or form.

I haven't paid by visit. For one year, which is probably about six visits, I pay somewhere around $400 per year. They're the only one I've ever used and I don't think there's anything that's special about them really. It's just that they do their job. They're satisfactory. They do come out and they do fertilizing and I can tell a difference in my front yard. My backyard is another matter because I've been digging things up but in the front yard, I definitely see improvements. They always show up and I don't have to remind them and I don't have to call them. They do what they say they're going to do. I think their pricing is fairly average.

I've never seen them. I don't even know if they put the stuff down, I just trust what they do. My lawn looks good. They do what they say because they always leave a bill.

They don't keep track of what they're doing and the reason my lawn looks bad is because they came out one week and of course with all this heat we've had and then they came out another week and the guy fertilized in front and I didn't even know he was here until I heard my deck gate open. I asked him what he was doing here and he said that this looks familiar and I said to him he was just here a week ago. My deck looks fine because he didn't give it a double whammy but my front yard looks so bad and he said it's because of water and I said no. I talked to the manager about the issue that I had and I got no satisfaction.

About 9 months ago, my husband contacted Scott's Lawn Service and canceled all future services. The reasons for the cancellation after using Scott's for three years was due to many factors; billing issues, applying fertilizer while my dog was outside, not supplying fertilizer to the entire yard and over treatment without permission. Last week while on vacation, Scott's applied fertilizer to the snow covered yard and casually left the bill at the front door. When I contacted Scott's about the bill, the CSR claimed that we had never canceled future applications and that my husband only canceled two specialty treatments. She proceeded to explain that I had paid my bill for two more treatments after the specialty treatments were canceled, therefore, I was aware that we had not canceled future visits. Upon looking at my statement, I was settling all the debt before the winter...old and new invoices, NOT new service. Then the CSR told me to read the last line in the green box on the statement. "For your convenience, service continues from season to season", and that I would need to contact them to cancel service every year. WHAT??? Before Spring and After Fall???
 After the shock wore off, I told the CSR to cancel all services from now until eternity and that I wanted a written confirmation of the cancellation. The CSR told me that there were no confirmations of cancellation issued. I was forced to contact an attorney with this issue fearing that the bills will keep coming for unwanted services. The last thing I want to deal with is a collection agency.

They accidentally performed two treatments in one week which required us to water several times a day to prevent the yard from dying. This was just one of numerous problems we had with the services. We attempted several times to rectify the problems, but it never improved, thus leading us to stop service all together. This was disappointing b/c we have used TruGreen/Chemlawn in other parts of the US with great results.

The first year I gave them the benefit of the doubt that they need time to get their process to work.  In year two I saw more weeds and when I tried to drop the service they gave me deals and did everything to try to keep them.  This year (3) not only did I get more weeds, but I got Grubs. Grub prevention was a service that is included in my package and when I asked what the brown spots were in August and asked for a rep to come out they never mentioned grubs.  I had another service come out and they diagnosed it in 30 seconds and walked me around the lawn and showed me a bunch of other issues that were not being addressed.  Cheap doesn't pay here, now I am spending a bunch of money to bring my grass back and the "Joy" of cutting my lawn has turned into a constant disappointment.

They provided a quote over the phone and the quote matched the final price of service. All associates wer very professional. They arrived on time, performed service, and left a detailed maintenance plan for us to follow between treatments. We saw noticeable results just a week after the first application.

I switched from a different service I used in 2014. Since beginning the service in 2015, The lawn looks great! My grass has thickened up, is a nice dark green and with less water than I was applying last year. Michelle Staab (26076) has been great! She takes the look and health of my lawn personally and has been 100% professional, genuine and honest each time I've spoken with her. 
I would recommend her service to anyone who asks.
