No, leaving the lights on will not effectively keep roaches away. While roaches are nocturnal and prefer darkness, they don’t avoid lit areas entirely, especially if there’s access to food, water, or shelter. In some cases, roaches may even adapt to light if it means survival, and this becomes even easier if there is clutter and other potential hiding spots available. It’s debatable, but most will say either termites or bed bugs are the hardest to remove.
