"This was our first time with Michigan Elite Window Cleaning and we would gladly use them again. They responded to our gutter cleaning request immediately and with a good quote, and worked hard to fit us into their hectic December schedule. They did an excellent job, including cleaning up after their work. Many thanks!"

Small jobs welcome

"I had Doctor Ducts LLC do duct cleaning. It is a family-owned business Don and Nicole did a great job cleaning my ducts. They also made sure that everything was cleaned up afterwards, and all furniture was put back in place. Professional, friendly, and knowledgeable! "I would like to begin by briefly explaining the various items which culminated with my hiring of "College Dolls With Cleaning Towels." However I am also aptly motivated to point out, again with brevity in mind, the reasons I have for opting not to go with one of the "Big Two" (for lack of a more appropriate term) cleaning companies in the Grosse Pointe area. Anytime I spoke with either of the two "... Maids" companies in the Pointes I felt as though I was nothing more than a single potential customer among the millions of customers they already have. Or more precisely, I felt my personal requests and/or suggestions mattered little, they were the professional cleaners and me, well I'm just a clueless homeowner making ridiculous demands. That all changed when I called "College Dolls With Cleaning Towels." My first call to College Dolls With Cleaning Towels was answered by Kathy who I spoke to for only a few minutes before I decided to schedule a walk-through. Two days later Kathy and Jason (her partner and I believe significant other) arrived right on time. They introduced themselves and we began walking through my house so they could provide the most accurate estimate. Very much to my surprise and delight, while walking through the house THEY actually asked me if I had any special instructions for the cleaning. I explained that I simply wanted only certain rooms vacuumed as well as nothing moved off the shelves in another room. They made note of my simple requests as I mentioned them and told me none would be a problem and they'd be happy to accomodate me. Before they left they told me a rough estimate and I set up a date for my first cleaning, the following Tuesday at 9:00 am. Tuesday at nearly 9:00 am sharp a young lady and a gentleman arrived to begin cleaning. Both were extremely polite, respectful, and clean-cut, each wearing a company t-shirt. I opened the door, introduced myself, and asked if they needed anything. They replied that they did not and began bringing in their supplies and equipment. I stayed in my office (one of the rooms I requested not be cleaned) the entire time the were at my house. They cleaned for just about 3 1/2 hours (I have very large rooms-living room alone is 1200 sqft) which was well within what I was told during my estimate. Having met with the owners of the company, meeting the people that did my actual cleaning, and then seeing my finished product I can easily say I am extremely satisfied. While I stayed home this time, I would be completely comfortable leaving them alone in my home in the future. All in all, unless it was free, I don't see anyway I could be more satisfied. I feel that I received an excellent, thorough cleaning for a price that actually was slightly less than any other estimate I'd gotten in the past. So, in summation; I was beyond pleased with the cleaning provided by College Dolls With Cleaning Towels. The owners and the staff that I w"

"The mark of a good service company is the lack of need to take on an additional project (clean up) after the project is completed. This is definitely the case with CJW Chimney Sweep! Greg and Will placed runners all the way from the front door to the fireplace completely covering the tile and wood floor that was trafficked. In addition the entire fireplace hearth was covered. After their efficient professional work, there was NOTHING left to clean up. This is very highly appreciated which is exactly why we are repeat customers."

Sonic Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Vinegar will not damage your roof shingles. Using vinegar to wash your roof is an effective and popular cleaning method for asphalt shingles. You can buy white vinegar with varying concentrations of acetic acid. Typically, 5% is all you need for a good roof cleaning, but if you’ve got stubborn stains or moss you can go as high as 25%.

The easiest way to remove snow from a roof involves using a roof rake that allows you to clear snow from the ground. Roof rakes are lightweight and feature adjustable handles, making them user-friendly for most people. This method also helps prevent ice dams and excess snow buildup, reducing the risk of roof damage during winter months.

When should you remove snow from your roof? A good rule of thumb is once six inches of snow accumulates.

If you’re painting your home or monitoring a job as it’s being completed, squash the issue ASAP if you notice paint is getting onto the roof. Keeping it clean is one of the keys to extending your roof’s life.

Removing latex paint before it dries is much easier and lowers the risk of damaging your shingles (more on that below). Simply spray the spot with a hose for one to two minutes to clear away the drying paint. In general, this is a good way to remove ugly stains from your roof without using chemicals.

You could void your roof warranty using a power washer if you have a newer roof. With an older roof, you could knock loose older shingles. On the other hand, some people safely use a pressure washer to remove moss from a metal roof. Although you may want to use a pressure washer, the truth is that you probably don’t need it to knock moss loose. A garden hose and brush will do the job just fine and in a safer manner than a pressure washer.

The best time of year for roof cleaning depends on your local climate, but generally, late spring, summer, or early autumn are ideal. Plan to clean your roof on a day with dry weather and moderate temperatures.

Late spring and early summer are excellent for cleaning off grime accumulated after a snowy winter or wet spring. Summer often provides the necessary dry conditions, though in very hot climates, late spring may be more comfortable. Alternatively, cleaning in late autumn can clear away debris like leaves and branches before winter.

Avoid cleaning your roof when it is cold enough for water to freeze, as this can cause dangerous ice buildup.
