"Michael is very accomodating and listened to our needs. He had great suggestions and helped us by clearing a lot of overgrowth and made our yard presentable. We had a lot of poison ivy and he was OK to handle that. Michael is a hard worker. He also geniunely cared about our property and found solutions to fit in our budget. Definitely recommend!"

"We had an outstanding experience with Lytle Concrete! They removed a large number of unruly bushes and trees, cleared out all the river rock and oversized stones, and completely transformed our landscaping. They also poured beautiful new concrete steps leading to our front door with excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail. We especially appreciated their honesty and integrity as they saved us money by determining our existing sidewalk did not need to be replaced. They also installed a buried drainage pipe to divert water away from our foundation, which has already helped with basement flooding due to our high water table. Communication was excellent, pricing was fair, and the work was completed on time. They truly transformed our home into something we’re proud of. Highly recommend!"

"Very professional team. They called before arriving and we're on time. They removed their snowed shoes before coming in the house, answered all my questions and they asked if I needed any additional items removed as well. Was a quick and clean job. I highly recommend this company!"

"Knowledgeable service, they take care and pride in your goods. Most companies are in a hurry and damage your property, not Kzoo Haulers. They are responsive where it counts and can take the time to be aware of your belongings, would definitely recommend to others!"

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

These appliances certainly increase the number of things allowed down the drain, but they’re not foolproof. There are several items you shouldn’t put in your garbage disposal, according to manufacturers and technicians. Don’t put coffee grounds down the drain. The same goes for eggshells, potato peels, hard foods, onion skins, and any dry, expandable food. Most importantly, never put grease or oils down the drain.

If you cook a lot or have a larger household, a garbage disposal can be worth it, since it streamlines your kitchen duties and helps to keep food waste out of landfills. It helps to know the cost of garbage disposal installation before you make your decision. The average price is about $400, but you can expect to pay more for higher-end models or if you hire a pro to do the job for you.

If the cost of repairing a leaking garbage disposal is close to the cost of replacing the disposal, then fixing the unit might not make sense. When deciding if you should repair or replace your garbage disposal, consider the age of your garbage disposal, the cost of the repair, and whether your garbage disposal has had other problems recently to help you decide if the cost of repairing the leak is better than the cost of replacing the disposal.

No, you do not need a garbage disposal to have a dishwasher. A dishwasher will work without one, and while it's rare to see a home with a dishwasher that doesn't have a disposal, it is possible. The two appliances pair well and are often installed together because a disposal simplifies meal cleanup.

However, your dishwasher should not be used as a replacement for a garbage disposal. Subjecting it to continuous food leftovers can lead to major clogs. If you choose not to install a garbage disposal, you should thoroughly rinse your plates or scrape excess food into the trash or a compost pile before loading them into the dishwasher to prevent plumbing issues.

In some cases, it’s more cost-effective in the long run to replace a garbage disposal, but it depends on the specific issue you’re having and the age of your disposal. You should ask a garbage disposal repair tech for a quote to repair your appliance and then see if it would be more worthwhile to replace it. Additionally, garbage disposals last for around 15 years, so if you know your appliance is reaching that age, it’s likely better to pay for a new garbage disposal rather than sink money into repairs.
