It went extremely well. The owner was very quick to respond and they came to haul away the decking the very next day. They were honest and perform the job like they said they would. We were very happy!

Response from STUDENT HAULERS
"I find this review disappointing... We charge $25 per cubic yard for removal and disposal of junk. The transfer stations (Dumps) charge $24 per cubic yard. Tina had 11 cubic yards of debris which comes to $275 according to our standard pricing. 11 cubic yards is equal to about 3 pick up truck sized loads. Tina would have had to make 3 trips to the "Dump" to legally dispose of her Junk. Our prices are very clearly explained on the phone and before we load anything and she certainly had the opportunity to say she would rather save $11 and make 3 trips to the dump herself. We only hire college students and they are not pressuring anyone into spending more than they can afford. If people want to save a few dollars and do it themselves, we kindly let them."

"I'm Terribly sorry that we had Mechanical issues during your appointment time. This was the only time it has happened in 16 years of service. I felt that we communicated with you very well and expressed our regret. It's unfortunate that because our equipment failed us (you and me) you feel we deserve an F...."

I contacted Student Haulers by e-mail over the weekend and received a response on Monday morning. Arranged to be on the schedule on Tuesday, clarified that there were two locations, and thought I made it clear the washer and dryer in storage were in good enough condition to donate, which I understood was possible.
As promised, received a call the let me know the truck was on its way. Yard and house debris were removed as requested; proceeded to the storage unit where much to my dismay the washer and dryer were manhandled, dented, scratched and it was obvious they were not headed to be reused. The young man driving the truck was especially polite and helpful. Both young men were courteous and efficient. I just wish the other one hadn't wrecked the washer and dryer.
I will definitely use them again, however, as price was worth it.

Two guys came the day after I called as scheduled. Called while on their way and were done in all of five minutes. It's a small premium to pay versus what we would be charged to drop off at Best Way, but I don't have to load or haul anything myself. Would definitely use again.

The advertisement says they are cheaper then have a dumpster sent your house. Wrong...it cost more BUT you do have two men who will do all the labor. So if you have piles of trash every where like we had then it might be good a good deal for you.
The problems was they came to my place with a trailer 3/4 full and try to get all my trash into it. When they couldn't they told they would have to leave to empty their trailer which was not a problem. BUT then they want to charge me an extra $60 to come back to pick the rest up. I said NO because they knew how much I had when they did the quoted. It not my problem if they came with an almost full trailer. They did apologized and kept to the quote. The problem is I don't know if the crew made a mistake quoting a new price or the owner told them to hit me up for more money.
In all fairness it took 4 man hours to fill the trailer up. It cost me $500. A dumpster would have cost me $400 or so. Will I hire them again? Most likely not and bite the bullet and do the labor myself and rent a dumpster.
Response from STUDENT HAULERS
"Thank you for the B grade. This is Tim Galovan, the owner of Student Haulers and I would like to respond on a couple of points. The amount you were charged is not affected by the debris in the trailer when we arrive. Our prices are based on the total volume that you have. You had 25 cubic yards and were charged the same or less than renting a dumpster. A 25-30 cubic yard dumpster in your area typically costs $500 ($400-$500 plus daily fee, delivery, surcharge…etc). An argument can be made that a discounted dumpster rate can be found if you shop around. However, our prices are not based on discounts, our prices are based on industry standard dumpster rental fees. I looked over the notes for the day, talked to the workers who performed the job, and confirmed the volume with the transfer station and the recycling center and found no mistakes. We sometimes charge more when extra trips are required, but you were right to refuse this charge given that the trailer started out partially full. I apologize for the confusion on that, but please know that Student Haulers was not trying to hit you up for an extra $60. We are proud of our professional and courteous team and feel that we provide a valuable service. Thank you for both your positive and critical comments. I’m sorry we didn't earn an A that day and hope to get a second chance in the future."
