"This company did a great job! They responded quickly and provided a quote right away. They were able to find the same siding we used on our house even though we had that done more than ten years ago by a different company. They said they were booked until October but called and were able to squeeze us in in early September. They did the whole job in a day despite challenges like having to work with a pool and deck right up against the back of the garage. The job site was cleaned really well when they were finished. "Job included paint and carpentry on a 2 story Tudor home. Accepted 5 bids, we chose MHI due to their ability to handle all of the carpentry work required on the Tudor stucco panels and boards. The quality of the painting was excellent overall. While I always expect to follow up with a little touch up or extra coat here or there, I was impressed with how much attention was paid to the toughest parts of the job... in particular, painting along difficult edges such as where existing caulk met brick, or where the tudor panels and boards meet. In my opinion, there is no reason to hire large overpriced companies or inexperienced college painters when you have companies like MHI around."

"As usual Larry Cook did a terrific job. He had his crew move the many boxes stored in the room, then lay down plastic cloth to protect the furniture and rug. The plastering proceeded the next day, and the painting followed. Larry Cook is a talented and skilled plasterer who is able to replicate the pattern of the original so it matches the parts of the ceiling that were untouched by the disaster. He also made sure to match the old ceiling color in the new gallons he purchased. My husband and I also rely on Larry to move everything back and leave the room totally clean after all the work is done. Couldn't be better!!"

"I REALLY liked the salesperson that we bought it from. HE was excellent. When there was a glitch with our siding order, he came back out to check things out. HOWEVER, the guy who put up our siding was not real particular. He cut off our gutters when they were to be removed and re-hung. I AM pleased that the company replaced them without any hassle. The siding was over hanging the gables. It wasn't until we said something that he fixed it. That was the overall problem. Unless we caught a problem, it would have remained. While it might be our house itself, the siding installment is not what I'd consider "A". I don't think that I should be the one pointing out mistakes and getting them fixed. I think that they should have just been fixed. I'm glad that the guy was nice. But the end result was not installed like we had pictured."

"I hired Elysium based on online reviews for wallpaper removal in kitchen, foyer, stairwells and bathroom. I was quoted it would be 3 day project and price was good. A subcontractor was sent out, not Elysium painting. Well as far as wallpaper removal, they did not remove the glue but instead did a lot of sanding and plaster to cover the glue . The kitchen turned out nice and you could tell they took their time. As for the rest of the job, they hurried on the last day and painted over a lot of the glue, did not sand all the plaster down and only did 1 coat of paint without primer. It looked horrible. I called the subcontractor who was very apologetic and long story short he came out and fixed it. Elysium called and apologized as well. It ended up looking better but not as nice as I thought it would . While I was thankful they came and fixed it, overall I just wasn't too thrilled with the whole experience. There was not a lot of communication, always late, cancellations,dirty drop cloths, didn't do a great job sealing off my house to prevent sanding dust from getting everywhere, my whole house smelled like cigarettes as they took a break very often, different people everyday,overcharged me for paint but I just let that go because I was over it all . Very nice people but I would have taken my time to read reviews next time. After they got into the job they realized my walls were in pretty bad shape but I would have rather they stop and renegotiate with me to get the job done in a nice professional way and not try to make up labor costs on the paint."
