"I hired Sean from Bromley's tree service to take down 16 trees around my house. I cannot emphasize enough how satisfied I was with the work done by the Bromley team. They started on the day that they said that they would, got the job done and then more. They ended up doing 20 trees due to complications, but they delt with the situation on a very professional level. I had been really cold over the past few weeks, and it they came to work every day. On one day the weather was so bad that they could not come to work. The elevation at my house made it impossible to use some of the equipment, and thus Sean called and apologized for the conidiations and that they could not make it that day. Emphasizing good communications from Sean and his team. Sean and I walked the property at the conclusion of the project to ensure that I was happy with the work. I will hire them any day for a project.... in fact, my neighbor just did. Thanks Sean, great job!"

"Truman, Kyle and the guys provided the highest quality of service. Being a senior person with many experiences over the years, I am always hopeful but often disappointed; not so with these guys. Their timeliness, professionalism and work ethic is truly impressive."

Small jobs welcome

"I hired grind pros to remove a stump in my front yard. It's a small front yard with a LARGE maple tree that had been an eye sore for years. Justin got it out of there in an afternoon with ease. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend grind pros for stump removal services."

"Excellent service! They removed a large amount of leaves, branches, brush, and tree debris from my property and hauled everything away. The work was done carefully, and they left the yard spotless. I was impressed enough to hire them again the next day to mow my lawn, and that job was done beautifully as well. Professional, reliable, hardworking, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend them."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

You’ll want to have your palm trees trimmed during the spring, ideally in May, before hurricane season sets in, which generally takes place during the late summer. Palm trees grow fastest over the summer months. You’ll also want to trim your palm trees when you notice:

  • Brown fronds

  • Dry leaves

  • Flower pods

  • Fruit

  • Fronds overgrown in power lines

  • Frond encroaching upon your neighbor’s home or yard

  • Visible damage from a storm

The speed of your tree root removal process depends on a few different factors, including the size and type of tree. However, the fastest method of killing tree roots is applying chemical herbicide, which starts working quickly and efficiently. But this removal method has its drawbacks, such as having a negative effect on the surrounding vegetation and landscaping. Other options like rock salt and stump grinding work relatively quickly and cause less damage to your yard.

Trees should be pruned every two to five years, depending on its age and type. Young trees should be inspected and pruned every two to three years. Mature trees should be inspected and trimmed every three to five years, and fruit trees should be pruned annually with a careful eye on seasonal growth. Evergreens typically don’t need pruning, unless branches or limbs are damaged, diseased, or harboring pests.

For safety reasons, leaning trees are best removed by a professional, as they may often tear away from the hinge, causing you to lose control over where the tree falls. If you choose to cut down a tree leaning slightly, avoid cutting off root protrusions before you start. Make your hinge a little longer than usual by cutting it deeper (up to 30% of the diameter) and applying a wedge into the felling cut on the side the tree is leaning. Stand away from the direction the tree leans while making your felling cut.

If you’re planning on keeping the tree, unless the roots are invasive, there’s no need to remove them, as doing so can cause damage to the tree. If the tree has been cut down and the stump and roots are left, grinding and removing the stump can cause root decay for some species. For other species, the stump and roots will need to be removed to prevent pests, disease, and possible tree regrowth.
