"Had a few dead limbs over my roof and a big dead tree leaning towards my house I didn't want my house insurance going up when they fell on my roof and house. took three estimates from different companies 1 refused to do it, the other company wanted almost double what he quoted the work for. he was on time and got the job done same day after the other companies said two days minimum, he did an amazing job cleaning up the mess left over too my yard by the trees was cleaner after the job was done. Overall he exceeded my expectations and the next time I need tree work I know who I'm calling and to anyone who needs any tree work done around your yard or house trust me when I say call him first."

"I had an area of my deck rotting out. I had 2 other companies out that only wanted to sell a whole new deck and feed me a bunch of BS. Roots met me and showed me exactly what was bad and what he could do to fix it and make it look like it was never patched. His price was very fair. No BS, straight to the point. They worked clean. No mess, and they were very mindful of the many flowers and shrubs along the deck. Job well done."

"Excellent service! They removed a large amount of leaves, branches, brush, and tree debris from my property and hauled everything away. The work was done carefully, and they left the yard spotless. I was impressed enough to hire them again the next day to mow my lawn, and that job was done beautifully as well. Professional, reliable, hardworking, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend them."

"I needed two problem trees removed from my property which were very close to the house. (actually over hanging the roof) High-Line Crane and tree service did an outstanding job removing these trees safely without any damage to my home, my property, or to themselves. A crane was essential for the success of this project. The dexterity and skill in which the crane was handled was impressive. The "climber" was so talented, and comfortable on the hook far above the ground. Every move was done with his safety first and foremost. His technic was exceptional, always taking care of his life saving ropes and bindings. His care of his climbing equipment was impressive. As they told me during the site clean up, "we like to leave the site as if we were never here" And they did and outstanding job at this as well. Im very pleased with High-Line Crane and Tree Service. Thanks Justin!"

"M & M removed a large oak tree over hanging power lines and a grove of 60 trees on about an acre of land. The work was done safely and exactly as I requested at a very fair price. Owner Monte Linton was a pleasure to work with and I have no reservations about recommending him to others."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Licensing requirements for arborists, also known as tree surgeons, vary by state and municipality. Many areas require a license, which often involves specialized education and experience. Even if not mandated, it's wise to hire a licensed professional as they tend to have more experience. Beyond licensing, look for certifications from organizations like the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) or the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA), as this indicates a higher level of expertise. Certified arborists must typically pass a comprehensive exam. Always confirm that the arborist has a business license and is fully insured to protect yourself from liability. Seeking positive recommendations from local homeowners is also a good step in finding a qualified professional.

If it’s your property, then you can plant a tree near power lines, but it’s not the best idea. Any vegetation that grows within 10 feet or so of power lines will fall under the responsibility of the utility company, and they may trim or remove it as necessary. If you do move forward with your plan, try to choose a smaller ornamental tree, plant it as far away from the power lines as you can, and keep it trimmed to avoid future problems.

Cutting down a tree next to power lines is never a DIY job, and it’s a good idea to contact your utility company first. In most cases, the utility company will need to take care of any tree problems within 10 to 15 feet of power lines. If you want to remove the tree for aesthetic reasons, hire a pro to do the job. Trying to cut trees near power lines yourself can create many safety hazards, and you could be liable if you inadvertently cause damage to electrical equipment.

The average tree pruning should take one hour with the right equipment. Light pruning of a small tree may only take around 15 to 20 minutes. Pruning multiple large trees in your yard will probably take several hours, including cleanup. However, tree pruning pros can do this job much faster, so you can rely on pros if you’re short on time.

Late winter is ideal, but if you’re pruning apple trees in the spring, prune them as early as possible in the season. You want to ensure your tree is just creeping out of dormancy and hasn’t started pushing out new growth. If you prune your tree too late into spring, you generally won’t see results until the following year.

That said, there’s no pruning season for unhealthy growth. Remove dead, dying, or diseased branches as soon as you notice them, regardless of the time of year.
