"Don Callender owner of D&B Tree Service took down my 100â Maple Tree and did An excellent job in cutting it down, cutting the tree into firewood size, cleaning the brush, cleaning up the debris. He and his Crew were very professional and were So caring and kept The price to where I could afford to have it taken down. I highly recommend D&B tree service.I rate them with 5 stars. "Had a few dead limbs over my roof and a big dead tree leaning towards my house I didn't want my house insurance going up when they fell on my roof and house. took three estimates from different companies 1 refused to do it, the other company wanted almost double what he quoted the work for. he was on time and got the job done same day after the other companies said two days minimum, he did an amazing job cleaning up the mess left over too my yard by the trees was cleaner after the job was done. Overall he exceeded my expectations and the next time I need tree work I know who I'm calling and to anyone who needs any tree work done around your yard or house trust me when I say call him first."

"He removed a 40ft dead pine that was very close to my house. After it hit the ground he cut it up then cleaned up the area. I would happily hire him again with a thought! Very nice young man."

"Excellent service! They removed a large amount of leaves, branches, brush, and tree debris from my property and hauled everything away. The work was done carefully, and they left the yard spotless. I was impressed enough to hire them again the next day to mow my lawn, and that job was done beautifully as well. Professional, reliable, hardworking, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend them."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

You can shape a cherry tree by trimming vertical branches, dense branches, and intersecting branches. Your personal aesthetic comes into play, as well. If you want to simply thin and shape the tree, you can get away with trimming the aforementioned parts of your cherry tree. If you want to shorten branches, however, consider thinning cuts, which alter the length of the branches while encouraging light penetration, new buds and shoots, and a structurally-sound shape.

The amount of time it takes for a tree trunk to rot depends on several factors, including the tree’s size, species, and environmental conditions. It can take anywhere from a few years to several decades for a tree’s trunk to rot. A tree stump, on the other hand, can take up to 10 years to disappear after it’s decayed naturally.

Grinding down a tree helps reduce the risk of foundation damage and pests and even helps your home’s curb appeal. Stumps can also be a safety hazard. If grass grows above the stump and someone else mows your yard, they may be in for a rude awakening when they accidentally hit it.

Though summer is not ideal, you can do some light pruning during this time of year. Just make sure it’s not excessive. Vigorous pruning will stress the tree and impact next year’s growth. Generally, August to September are the best summer-pruning months, particularly for fruit trees.

Sudden oak death and oak wilt are different diseases. Oak wilt first shows up in tree leaves while sudden oak death affects the branches and trunk. However, as symptoms in both can overlap, it’s best to consult a professional arborist tree expert for a proper diagnosis and development of a treatment plan.
