"Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."

"It went very well. The owner came out, explained everything in detail. He was not pushy, explained his product and left the decision to us. He was very good about answering questions. He knew his product and knew what we needed. When he came out he already he knew what we could use for our condo. He was very honest about how long we would want to stay there and what we could use or need. He was not pushing any product. He answered all questions we had and had other material in his truck he could show up. He was able to come out when we had time available. We mentioned a comment we had seen on Angies List and he addressed those concerns and explained why it would not be a problem for us. It was a very good experience dealing with him. They come out and measures the window, then they have the guy that is going to install them measure again and introduces themselves so you know who they will be. We had another quote that was slightly lower but the quality of the window is better. He is up front and let you know the windows are made to fit."

"Jeff kept his scheduled date and started work on time. Highly professional in assessing our wants. Actual  billing came in under the quoted estimates. Jeff was accommodating and easy to work with.
Tile work, painting look very good. The transitions between tub and tile look well done. There have been no plumbing leaks or electrical problems and everything "works".
One area that needed some creativity was relocating the heat vent higher off of the floor. This was a problem with the old bathroom where water would run down the bottom louvers. The ducting to the vent was completely reworked, the closet floor relocated and the door was modified to fit. It looks great and I am completely satisfied on how it turned out.
Jeff and his contractors cleaned up after themselves well. They even put plastic on the carpeted stairway and landing to protect them.
A side job to the bathroom remodeling was the repainting of the family room ceiling. This also turned out nice.
Both jobs were completed with a minimum of disruption, especially considering that the old bathroom was completely gutted.

Window Screen Repair questions, answered by experts

While sometimes used interchangeably, screen doors and storm doors have key differences. Screen doors are simple structures, typically composed of just a frame and a screen, designed to keep out bugs while allowing air circulation. In contrast, storm doors are heavier and more complex, built to protect your home's main entry door from weather and intruders. They usually feature an aluminum frame with interchangeable tempered glass and screen panels, allowing you to switch between ventilation and insulation. A storm door offers more protection and versatility but generally costs more than a basic screen door.

Awning windows can have screens, but it depends on your manufacturer. If your awning window does have a screen, it will be on the interior side so it doesn’t get in the way when you crank the window open. Having the screen on the inner part of the window also makes it easier to clean from inside your home.

It is generally recommended to remove window screens for the winter, especially in climates with heavy snow, freezing rain, or frigid temperatures. Removing them helps prevent damage to the screen mesh and frames that can be caused by ice and moisture buildup between the screen and the window. Taking out the screens also allows more natural light and warmth into your home during shorter winter days and makes it easier to clean your windows thoroughly. In warmer climates where harsh weather is not a concern, the decision is more about personal preference; some homeowners prefer the clearer view, while others leave them in for convenience.

Screen doors have a positive ROI because of their safety features. They add protection from debris, critters, and, depending on the material, even heat. However, storm doors are better than screen doors when it comes to overall protection.

Yes, a variety of screen materials cut out glare from the sun. Solar screen material can block up to 90% of the glare and heat from the sun, saving on cooling costs. It also offers privacy yet unlimited outward visibility. The cost depends on the size of the screen roll, but solar screens cost between $25 and $90 per roll.
