Customers say: Quality work

"Awesome! I can’t say enough about this company. Doug and his entire crew were prompt, friendly and professional. They were on the job bright and early every day. They made quick work of a huge job! Doug walked us through everything and answered all our questions without any hassles. The job came out beautiful, more than I imagined :) His prices were very reasonable considering what al the did. They completely tore out existing concrete block walls and sidewalks which saved us so much time and wear and tear on our bodies too! Doug is passionate out what he does. I think he was as excited to see our project develop as we were. He takes pride in what he does. So glad we hired a local guy and a craftsman too! Highly recommend him for sure!!!"

"Jason and his crew did a great job. I had a unique situation with water collecting from my sump pump. They did a trench to get the water away from my house and graded out to the backyard. They also did all 4 downspouts and raised the sides of the house and all planting beds. I also had a huge pine and several overgrown arboritaes removed and 2 trees replaced. My old patio had to be removed to accommodate the drainage and my new patio is beautiful with a new design and paver placement. I'm very pleased."

"The group of guys came out and removed 7 trees from my property. They did such a good job even when the weather wasn't good outside. They were always in contact with me and to let me know what was happening. The clean up of my yard was done really well and looked better than expected. I would definitely hire them again. I actually have them coming out to quote a new porch for the house and yard work around the house."

Retaining Wall Installers questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can use cinder blocks for many purposes, including retaining walls, foundations, garage walls, and fences. Building a cinder block retaining wall costs between $60 and $200 per linear foot, including materials and professional labor. For a 30-foot-long retaining wall, the cost ranges from $1,800 to $6,000.

Depending on who you hire to build a retaining wall, the average cost, including demolition and reconstruction, for a 50-foot wall that's 4 feet in height is between $7,000 and $24,000.

Most retaining wall installations can be finished in one to three weeks, but the timeline varies based on factors like wall size and material. The local climate and major weather events, such as storms or flooding, can also extend the project's timeline, as can any holds ups in the permitting process.

Railroad ties can be good for retaining walls, but it depends on the area. They have a desirable rustic look and are durable. The problem is they’re treated with creosote, a preservative the EPA says poses a risk to humans and wildlife. Over time, the preservative seeps out of the wood and into the ground. Many areas have banned the use of creosote-treated wood on residential properties. If your area does allow it, never use railroad ties near an edible garden or drinking water source. Instead, use wood that’s treated with an EPA-approved preservative or a wood-alternative composite material.

Costs depend on material type, labor rates, and additional features like decorative finishes or reinforcement.
