"Our project involved swapping a fireplace for a 48” fridge in the kitchen in a kitchen. The total cost of our project was ~$14K. A fireplace and two flues were removed from a large 5 flue chimney in a 1960 era house. The fireplace opening was raised to 8ft and steel lintels installed in the cinderblock. The chimney cap was also replaced. The company broke down the quote into a discovery (is it possible?)/back-out/demolition/repair format as we requested. When the time came, the crew was on-time every day, polite and professional. An additional day was added to the project to fix some problems with the flues not being touched. The company is one of the only masonry companies in the area that would touch this large scale project. They are flexible and can solve problems on the fly. If you have a project that is large, complex, and has unknowns, you want this company on your side."

"Victor responded very promptly to my request for service. Jason and Daniel did a great job with the repair. We have a two story ceiling that needed repair so it was a big job. They needed to bring in scaffolding. All repairs were done professionally and look great. We were very happy with the entire process."

"I’m so happy that my aunt looked on home advisor for me when I was wanting all the things on my husbands to do list done! Tony hung formal curtains in my family room and dining room. He also hung mirrors and wall art! Everything was done perfect and he made sure I was happy :) He also fixed a cabinet drawer that my daughter broke while he was over :/ ! I can tell you one thing is for sure, I won’t be making lists anymore! I will call Tony! ... Ps... my husband is happy as well :)"

Small jobs welcome

"Exceptional skills, work ethic and results. You can tell that doing quality work was a high priority. Found things wrong that other contractors missed, and fixed them at a very reasonable price. Am asking him to bid on more minor house repairs and looking forward to a long relationship. Highest possible rating ... this is the one you should pick. :-)"

Wall Repair questions, answered by experts

Yes, including patterns, finishes, and plant integration for aesthetic enhancement.

Rebar is a steel support that goes inside concrete to prevent structural damage over time. Concrete is susceptible to impact, weight, and tension. By inserting rebar into the concrete during the installation, you can help extend its lifespan and avoid hazardous situations where the foundation of your home gives way to tensile forces.

Depending on who you hire to build a retaining wall, the average cost, including demolition and reconstruction, for a 50-foot wall that's 4 feet in height is between $7,000 and $24,000.

To maintain the integrity of your landscape, a retaining wall must be installed if the slope of the angle exceeds 35 degrees. The lean of the wall must be 1 inch per 12 inches in height to disperse the weight of the soil uniformly and guarantee the correct drainage of the soil.

Railroad ties can be good for retaining walls, but it depends on the area. They have a desirable rustic look and are durable. The problem is they’re treated with creosote, a preservative the EPA says poses a risk to humans and wildlife. Over time, the preservative seeps out of the wood and into the ground. Many areas have banned the use of creosote-treated wood on residential properties. If your area does allow it, never use railroad ties near an edible garden or drinking water source. Instead, use wood that’s treated with an EPA-approved preservative or a wood-alternative composite material.
