"Mark of Elegance did a great job. This is a company that truly cares that the customer has a great experience. They did interior and exterior painting for us as well as sanding and refinishing a deck. They were willing to try something new and challenging that few if any other painters in the Detroit area know how to do, Lyme washing. Highly competent and motivated, I would definitely hire them again."

"This was the 3rd time we used Walls N All Painting and they continue to exceed expectations. They painted the interior of our entire condo (except ceilings) and they did an excellent job. They completed the job on time, did very professional work, answered any questions we had, cleaned up after themselves, and inspected the job for any flaws (there were none). The crew was great to work with and we would highly recommend them for your painting needs."

"They stained my cedar siding and painted the vinyl addition. They taped things off nicely and even painted a spot that was missed high up previously. I am having them back to do some interior painting! Looks great!!"

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

You can sell a house with lead paint, but there are several requirements. If you are aware that lead paint exists anywhere in the home, you must disclose that to potential buyers. Required home inspections will often uncover lead paint, especially for older houses where lead paint may still be a problem. If you have taken steps to encapsulate lead, you should provide buyers with full documentation of the project so it won’t cause any problems later on.

Distilled white vinegar can help you remove candle wax from surfaces like countertops. You’ll need to scrape off most of the wax and use the distilled white vinegar to help soften and remove the rest and leftover residue. Keep in mind that while it’s possible, using distilled white vinegar isn’t an effective method for removing wax compared to the methods listed above.

Yes, a magic eraser can remove candle wax. You can use it to remove all the candle wax from start to finish. Another option is to remove all large clumps with a dull knife and then pull out your magic eraser to finish the job. However, while the results can be impressive, a magic eraser shouldn’t be used on all surfaces since it can potentially damage them. If you try this method, test a small, hidden spot first and proceed cautiously.

Pressure washing is the best way to remove paint that’s already peeling from certain types of vinyl and aluminum siding and some masonry. However, if the paint is largely intact and not yet peeling, or if your siding material can’t withstand the pressure, you may need to use other methods, such as chemical paint strippers, a heat gun, a paint scraper, or sanding.

This factor depends on exactly how much paint you remove from your hardwood floors. If it’s just a few small, hardly noticeable spots, refinishing won’t be necessary. However, if you completely strip your floors of paint, you will likely need to sand and finish them.
