"Just had the pre-install appointment! The install will happen in two months!"

"The staff was friendly and professional however there appeared to have been a disconnect with the communication between the team which resulted in the kitchen sink not being secured, areas missing caulk and small section of my cabinets chipped off. These issues may stem from me being told that from one team that when the other team comes out, they will take care of it and when that team arrives, them stating "they don't do that". There are teams that work on taking the doors to the warehouse, countertop installers, etc..etc."

Hello my name is Mike Scanlon and I moved to the Grand Ledge area about 10 years ago. I retired with 20 years in the Air Force and am looking for side work to keep me busy. I am very handy at fixing most things and I also have all of the tools necessary to do most anything. I look forward to meeting some local homeowners who need some extra help!

J&M was created as a business that will eventually be handed down to my sons. The tasks the business handles are those that require general building and maintenance skills. Any skills acquired for these jobs were ones that I learned from my dad or grandfather, both of which were licensed builders. I stand behind all work the business does with a 100% money back guarantee.

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"Alfredo did an excellent job on correcting my cabinet installation. He is very detailed, knowledgeable and made sure the job was done properly. I highly recommend him to anyone and will definitely hire him again for future projects as well."

"I was home during the work and was able to observe the entire process. The work was done on time and in a highly professional manner. Very pleased with the work and product. Not only did he repair the problem but made it better than the original work by upgrading the materials. He also found an additional problem that he fixed without additional cost. As he finished he made sure the job site was clean and tidy."
