My back door frame (facing east to most of the harsh weather elements) was rotting out and needed replacement about 5 years ago. I was shown where the rot had spread and provided an estimate to repair all that had rotted out AS WELL AS an estimate to replace the door; for a few dollars more, the replacement was much more cost effective and chosen.
