"Duane Lumm and his crew are amazing. A few years ago we came home from traveling to our finished basement totally flooded caused by a malfunctioning sump pump. Duane came immediately to start saving our belongings and furniture. D.C. Complete was thorough with getting our downstairs back to being livable. Duane and his crew were so caring. They treated our house as if it was their own! D.C. Complete did two other major projects for us which were just as great as the first one. We highly recommend D.C. Complete. "What a nightmare. Hindsight is 20/20, i shouldve been more on top of things with brandon. This was my first time hiring a contractor and I was too trusting of his process. My fault. We got a deck build with a full pergola. What we received was a deck with a tiny pergola in the corner. We received a part vebal quote in person, and then worked out some details via text. What I learned is that anything said verbally was disregarded, and anything documented was as vague as possible. Our contract was a vague as build a deck. We received no drawings, no itemized or formal quote, the diagram for the city had no pergola on it, and so we were in the dark. We were upset with our miniature pergola as you can imagine, it was a quarter of the intended size, and Brandon decided on his own where the place the tiny thing. Had he or someone asked where it should be placed, we would have caught the problem before it was built as it should have been the entire size of the deck. I was told it would be 5k extra to get the pergola we thought we were getting the whole time. Being a mini pergola, there was also a support beam cutting through the center of our deck now that was not supposed to be there. I've gotta say, this was one of the more interesting ways I've heard of a contractor screwing people over. I was told it was too hard to fix, so I wanted it removed, they wanted to charge me for that. I said I wanted my money back from the pergola, then I was told I didn't pay for the pergola so there wasn't any reason to give me money back. (At this point I stopped talking via phone because everything needed to be documented in writing.) I was told it was a $1300 pergola. Then, I did the math based on the little info I had and realized I paid 2k+ for the pergola. Didn't matter to them. Instead of fixing the mistake Brandon kept just saying it was a steal, and I got a great deal, and labor is high. So now the pergolas down and gone. I got about a 30% refund on the pergola that is no longer there. All in all, don't give your money to them, it's a headache, and if you get into a situation, he'll let you know how good he is at going to court, which is a red flag right there."
