"They did amazing work. They are absolutely worth every penny. I've been waiting to find time to do this work myself for almost a year, and Jim came in and has knocked it out in about a week and done much better work than I would have done myself. I'm so happy that we hired him to do this. Our backsplash looks amazing as does our new foyer tiling. He also did some drywall finishing work for us (mudding/taping) and it looks so great! I really couldn't be happier."

"We are very pleased with how our bathroom turned out. We enlarged the master bath into an adjacent bedroom. Now we have a cabinet with drawers, the same size shower as before, and a partially re-arranged floor plan. Gary scheduled the other contractors needed to complete the job: plumbing, electrical, tile, granite work, and paint. The job took longer and cost more than originally planned (these things generally do). We had the work done 2 years ago and are still very pleased with the work."

"Doug's crew came in promptly at 9:30, and was out at 5:30 each day (the whole process took 3 days).  The first day was devoted to repairing all imperfections in the surfaces, sanding, taping, repairing nail pops and drywall cracks, etc.  2nd day was for priming; most of the final painting was on the 3rd day.
When they were done, the rooms looked perfect.  The last 20 minutes or so of each day was spent cleaning up any dust created.  When they left the tile in the entrance way was cleaner than I have ever seen it.
If you are looking for someone to slap some paint on, cheap, this is not the right outfit.  If you want to finally have a paint job done right, this may be you best choice."

"We were fortunate to have Gregg as the lead installer. He was outstanding - his work was of the highest quality. He was skilled, professional and friendly. At the end of each day, our room was vacuumed and neat and clean. His work was impressive. We are very impressed with Home Pro because of the quality of the materials and the installer."

"All I needed was half my basement repaired from water damage due to a broken pipe. They would not come out to even quote the job unless they were going to rebuild the entire basement. At least they didn't waste my time."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Mortar and thinset both serve the same purpose—tile adhesion—but have different compositions and use-cases. Thinset is heatproof and presents a wide range of possibilities due to the added polymers. Mortar is typically used for bonding stones and brick. Thinset is rarely used outside, while mortar is rarely used inside.

To make a bathroom look bigger, choose light-colored, medium- to large-format tiles. Light colors such as white, cream, or light gray make a space feel more open, while dark colors, busy patterns, and small tiles can make a bathroom feel smaller. It may seem counterintuitive, but small tiles can shrink a room visually due to the increased number of grout lines. Using medium- to large-format tiles creates a more seamless look. For the best effect, pair your light-colored tiles with a matching or similarly colored grout. This minimizes the grid-like pattern and gives the floor and walls a more continuous, uninterrupted appearance, helping the room feel significantly larger.

It’s easiest to start from an edge as it gives you a straight line. A problem may arise if your edge doesn’t line up perfectly, in which case it’s best to start from the center. Some think that starting tile from the center adds a focal point in the center of the hearth.

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all best tile for a dog shower. Consider your budget, tile durability, aesthetics, and, most importantly, practicality. Avoid tiles your dog will slide around on. Pebbles are a great non-slip option, but are pricey and tricky to install. Glass might look modern, but it’s not scratch-resistant. Small, floor-rated ceramic or porcelain tiles are economical and have many grout lines that make the surface more slip-resistant. Pick a matte finish rather than a shiny tile if you want it to hide stray mud and hairs better.

Yes, tiling a bathroom is a great way to boost your home's value, especially if you are replacing old or dated flooring. Adding a new tile floor can deliver a return on investment (ROI) of around 56.4%, with some projects offering up to 100% ROI. Buyers appreciate new tile because it provides a modern look and is known for being durable, water-resistant, low-maintenance, and easy to clean. For the best results and highest return, consider hiring a professional, as tiling mistakes can be very noticeable and detract from the value.
