"I had a bad computer board in my oven. they said they would not cover it because they found a roach. This is Florida we have some roaches. i do not have a bug problem. It has nothing to do with a bad computer board. This company looks for a way to deny claims. i had one other claim and they tried to deny it as well. Save yourself some agravation and stay away. They must post their own positive reviews. They took my $65.00 fee and did nothing"

Painting shutters can increase your home’s value. You’ll see the biggest ROI if you paint shutters that look a little worse for wear, have peeling or flaking, or detract from your home's appearance in any way. Adding a fresh coat of paint is an easy way to boost curb appeal, but you may also need to touch up your entire home’s exterior in some cases. If you paint your shutters but have lackluster exterior paint on your house, it can actually highlight that contrast.

You can calculate a painting charge by starting with the square footage of the area you painted. If you painted one room that’s 11x32 feet (132 square feet), charging $5 per square foot would get you $660 in labor costs (132x5). You may also choose to charge extra for intricate work (such as baseboards or crown molding) or painting jobs done in complex locations. Then, you’ll need to charge for the materials used, including primer and paint, and tools like brushes, drop cloths, and ladders.  

You can paint over existing wallpaper if you select wallpaper that is designed to be paintable. This type of paper is meant to add texture to walls. Alternatively, if you have old wallpaper you’d like to cover up, you can often paint over that instead of removing it. However, it needs to be smooth, damage-free, and non-textured. Otherwise, any bumps, tears, and texture will show through the paint.

While we can’t stop you, we don’t recommend using ceiling paint on walls. Ceiling paint is designed to be flat and less durable, which means it won’t stand up well to scrubbing or regular contact. It’s often limited in color selection. If you’re painting a low-traffic area, such as a closet, ceiling paint might work in an absolute pinch. But for most walls, it’s worth using a more durable, wall-specific formula.

An exterior paint job lasts an average of 5 to 10 years, although some might only last 2 or 3 years and others up to 20 years. How often you need to paint your home’s exterior depends on various factors. The type and quality of the paint, the application quality, the surface material, and local weather conditions all play a part in the paint’s longevity.
