"Liedel Powerwashing and Painting did a phenomenal job painting our home. We have a large 1-1/2 story ranch that really needed painting. Starting with the original estimate, every member of the crew was professional. They arrived when promised, were respectful of your property and made sure that we were satisfied when they finished. We were in need of having some siding replaced before they painted and the gentleman that came by to do it completed it without any issues. We would not hesitate to recommend Liedel Powerwashing and Painting to any of your friends. The job is complete and the price was fair. We were pleased from beginning to end. This company was a true Blessing to us!"

"Ashley and her team at Coastal Finish are truly exceptional. Iâ ve hired them for a number of services at my cottage: interior/exterior painting, as well as power washing and staining of my exterior deck. Ashley is prompt, highly communicative and the quality of work is unbeatable. I really appreciate how the team takes a personal interest in ensuring all jobs are done with the upmost care and attention to detail. Coastal Finish differentiates themselves through customer service and quality in work. They show up when they say theyâ re going to, are very fair in their assessment and pricing, and will go the extra mile to ensure the job is done beautifully, timely and to complete satisfaction. "My house was very drafty and I was tired of paying through the nose heating it and putting unnecessary strain on my furnace. I reached out to Jesse at Roots Renovations and he gave me a reasonable price, finished the job in a timely manner, and now it stays much warmer and furnace doesn't run as much. Can't wait to see how cool it stays in the summer. If I need anything else done I'll definitely seek him out."

Interior Painting FAQs, answered by experts

Yes, you can pressure wash epoxy floors, but you must take precautions to avoid damaging the surface. While most epoxy floors can be cleaned with a mop, you might choose to pressure wash if the floor is stained, has ground-in dirt, or is covered with mold or mildew. To do so safely, first soak any stains or dirty areas with a gentle cleanser. Use a lower pressure setting with a gentle nozzle, such as a green, white, or black tip, or a 45-degree angled tip. Keep the spray nozzle at least 18 inches away from the floor to protect the surface. Using a surface cleaner attachment or a rotary scrubber can also help prevent overspray. Be cautious if using a power washer that heats the water, as the combination of heat and pressure may be too powerful and could damage the epoxy coating.

The biggest issue with painting your interior walls with exterior paint isn’t the way the paint looks or performs—it’s the lack of ventilation. The higher quantities of VOCs in exterior paint will have a harder time dispersing in an enclosed space, so do everything you can to direct them out—like turning on a fan and opening your windows and doors. Afterward, you can simply prime and redo your walls with interior paint, and no one will know the difference.

The best and fastest way to remove paint from a deck often involves combining a chemical stripper with a pressure washer. Gel-based paint strippers are highly recommended because their thick consistency makes them less messy and easier to apply than liquid strippers. After applying the stripper to loosen the paint, you can use a pressure washer to efficiently wash away the residue. When using a pressure washer for this task, it's important to use a low pressure (under 1000 PSI) to avoid forcing too much moisture into the wood, which could lead to mildew or rot.

Yes, but with caution. A floor grinder is intended to level and polish concrete, so it is a very powerful tool. To remove paint, the floor grinder should be set to 35 square feet per minute or less to minimize the pressure without the use of pocket weights. You might need to go over the surface two times to get any paint that has sunk into the concrete’s pores.

Penetrating sealer seeps into concrete pores to protect it from moisture and staining, cracking, and mold caused by water. This means you cannot remove penetrating sealers like topical sealers. The good news is that penetrating sealant doesn’t have to be removed before resealing, as most topical sealers must. Instead, you’ll want to buy a compatible penetrating sealant (often the same kind already in the concrete) and apply it. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
