Repair - Marcus repaired discharge pipe in typical Michigan weather (34 Degrees and windy). Marcus went to work, going above and beyond to fix issue -- digging and cutting out specific piece of broken pipe, making sure remaining pipe was ok by snaking hose, performed repairs and cleaned up yard. In a rarity these days -- his efforts -- on a day when many others would have taken a short cut or mailed it in, showed he wanted to do the right thing. Very thankful and impressed. "Though more accomplished than expected, the workers surprised me with a failed result. They couldn't put the project back together correctly; everyone saw something was off. Outside the stall looked fine, but the tile they "replaced" was actually the original, just poorly handled. They left the last row unfinished after hitting a curve hard and breaking the tile apart. Instead of using a diamond saw for a clean $400 straight cut, they took a shortcut that ruined the piece. The tile broke jaggedly, so they tried to hide the damage by burying the break line under piles of caulk and extra material. Now, the fracture is "leaking" through the mess. Worse, they left a metal tool inside the assembly, blocking water flow. While the drain placement was okay, the plumbing is now a disaster. They tore up the floor unnecessarily when they could have just cut small plugs around the pipe, swapped the plastic, and used thinnest Because of their "gung-ho" attitude and lack of communication."

He was exceptionally careful with the entire job, around wires, sprinkler system, walls, and landscaping. He did a very thorough job -- knows his stuff exceptionally well. Took care to compact the ground around the walls for several hours. tarped the area to assure it was dry while work was in progress. Brought in several yards of topsoil to regrade landscaped area dug up during project work. Carbon-kevlar strapping was a "re-do" from a different contractor. Russ brought in the manufacturer of the Fortress Strapping business to evaluate previous work done and the repair necessary to make the walls structurally sound. He also insured the foundation was tied into the house frame with 90 degree steel bars. He was "on the job," supervised his crew, only came to the job when the steel helical piers were in his warehouse so work could progress quickly as long as it was dry. I trust Russ to do anything with a foundation that needs to be done. I also had him inspect a new home's basement to insure it was safe and stable. He is the best in the foundation business."
